Well, looks like hubby and I are going to Canada in March

My sis-in-law is paying for my ticket and my parents are paying for hubby's ticket....

I haven't seen my sibs since last April..... I saw my parents last October though.....

We are going for about a week.....

Well, have fun!

My boss is pushing for me to go up there for a few days. I wanted to wait 'til May or so when it's actually nice there but it seems I gotta go much sooner. Don't get me wrong, Toronto is a nice city to spend a few days and I am looking forward to meeting my business partners up there but it's so much nicer in the spring.

Approx 3 times a year, we get coupons from Northwest Airlines in the Valu-Pak coupon package in the mail. Normal round trip airfare from San Antonio to Toronto is about $560. The coupon offers round trip tickets for anywhere from $260-328.

It means 3 different planes instead of the usual 2, but hey! to save over $100, I'll change planes an extra time.

We got one yesterday! Yippee! Now I just gotta wait till I'm not likely to get snowed in when I get to Barrie. End of March should do it.

Have they actually had any snow this year? My family hasn't had much down in Whitby and Toronto. There was an ice storm a couple weeks or so ago though.

Reinhart, I can recall more than a few Marches in Toronto with temperatures around 80F. Ya just never know what its gonna do there.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you're a skiier or snowmobiler), weather in Toronto rarely has any relevance to weather north of Barrie. I can't tell you the number of times I've driven north from green TO and hit a wall of white just past Innisfil Beach Rd (10 min south of Barrie), then hit a second, worse wall of white at Horseshoe Valley Rd (10 min north of Barrie). One of my sons is one of those guys who comes out at 5 a.m. to plow parking lots and he's been working. I just checked the Barrie webcams and there's snow on the ground!
