Notice Prior to AOS Interview & Processing Times

My husband and I filed on 06/06/14. We received our receipts, biometrics appointment, and EAD all ahead of schedule (by a few weeks). Based on the timeline given by our lawyer, we had hoped that our interview would be somewhere around the five-month mark (11/06/14). I'm assuming we'd have approximately a month warning for our interview (like our biometrics appointment). How much notice were you given?

I've given up on using the USCIS case status updates. His I-485 shows it's still under acceptance, but he already has his EAD/AP. My I-130 still shows "under review." However, when I look at the processing times for the Nebraska Service Center, should I be looking at the 1-130 or I-485 processing times? We are doing AOS through marriage from a B1-B2 visa overstay.

Congrats on your pending interview! I'm confused with the I-485 processing time sub-categories: based on granted asylum, refugee status, employment-based adjustment, and Haitian Refugee Act. We don't fall under any of these categories as we are petitioning through marriage. I guess I'm getting antsy because our four-month mark is 10/06. And since I don't have any word about an interview, I don't expect it to happen until November at the earliest. The wait after the EAD/AP has been the hardest part!

There are many factors involved prior to having your actual interview date/time set by USCIS. Also, how many cases and applications prior to yours plays a huge factor as well. But you will know when you have been scheduled, as the USCIS website will tell you your date/time to show, as well as informing you that an actual interview notice has been sent to the address they have on file for you.

We also filed on June 6 and are still waiting for our interview notice. We have been told not to expect it before November or possibly December based on our local office processing times. Most people seem to report notice about a month beforehand, but it could vary.
