Hi everyone,

I have tried using my SSN number for setting up internet in our new place and also to get a cellphone but it keeps coming back as invalid! I've had my SSN card for about 6 weeks now, applied for it when I received my EAD. I am waiting on my greencard at the moment to get the status changed as right now it says 'valid for work only with DHS authorization'. Has anyone else had this issue? It's starting to get frustrating!

5/07/14 RFE

5/13/14 Biometrics

6/05/14 RFE response delivered

6/20/14 Biometrics (again!). Had to re-do fingerprints.

7/23/14 EAD/AP card in production

7/29/14 Online status changed to Testing & Interview.

7/31/14 EAD/AP received.

9/08/14 AOS Interview. Approved pending police certificate.

9/23/14 Greencard received.

When i applied for a credit card,my report also said my ssn is invalid.So I dont know why it would be invalid.Maybe because it is too new.It is not just me then.Phew!

GREEN CARD AND SSC STATUS

August 25,2014 Went to SSA to see what's going on with my SSC- SAVE has my middle name together with my first name.

August 28,2014 ELIS went from ACCEPTED TO OPTIMIZED IN PROCESS (INITIAL REVIEW)

September 2 Called local ssa and was told SSC was mailed/Elis says Green CARD production has begun

September 4,2014-received ssc

September 8,2014- green card mailed/closed on elis

September 9,2014- green card received yahooo!!

REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS

Mailed Packet: 4/29/2016

NOA1: 5/2/2016

Bio Appt: 6/1/2016

Approval:2/13/2017

Received 10 year green card:2/17/2017
