Hi all,

Is it just me or have there been changes to the NVC site? The email seems to have changed from nvcinquiry@state.gov to asknvc@state.gov and the instructions seem to have changed slightly too which has gotten me really worried.

I sent in the AoS for my wife after paying the AoS fees (as instructed on the coversheet) and it took a month just to allow us to pay the IV fees and do the D-260. Now I'm seeing the next step is to submit civil documents WITH the AoS or there will be "significant delays" however the coversheet told me to submit the AoS long before and I dont remember seeing this warning about sending the AoS only with these other documents.

Does anyone know if the process did indeed change or if I just messed up due to conflicting instructions???

Any help would be appreciated, this is extremely stressful...

Thank you!

New NVC procedures. I'm not understanding how it will be faster for them honestly.

Hey thanks for the reply NLR. OK I wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy. I hope them changing the process in the middle of my application won't cause any problems since I sent the AoS without the other civil documents. Do you know when they changed it? Seems like between mid August (when I sent the AoS) and now.

You know NLR I swear someone was high or on something when they did this. Or they posted before they are getting ready to implement AOS and IV invoiced together and get rid of that bloody dang DS-261 waste of time form.

I agree. I hope they do get rid of it.

Right now I still recommend people send the AOS and IV separate because MOST people on here seem to get a checklist on their AOS which adds another 60 days.
