How do I find out if my file was shipped to NVC?

Quick question, to which I am unable to find an answer from my preliminary research. My application was just approved at TSC. I understand the next stage is for it to be sent to NVC, which in turn sends it to the embassy. I know you can track the transit from NVC to embassy on the CEAC website, but how do I know when it was shipped bt TSC to NVC? Do I use the same USCIS Case Status website which we use to see the 129-F status? Or do I call somebody?

12 May 2014: Mailed 129F packet to Dallas lockbox

21 May 2014: NOA1 from TSC

18 Sep 2014: NOA2

23 Sep 2014: Case sent to NVC

30 Sep 2014: NVC received + case number generated

06 Oct 2014: Left NVC

08 Oct 2014: Medical exam

09 Oct 2014: Case reached embassy in London

09 Oct 2014: DS-160 and Applicant Readiness form submitted

21 Oct 2014: Interview letter received

29 Oct 2014: Interview --> Approved!

07 Nov 2014: Visa in hand

08 Nov 2014: LHR --> BOS [Finally!!]

As said, call the NVC but be prepared to hit the redial button several times. we got our NOA2, waited nearly 3 weeks to call the NVC and had to redial 86 times throughout the day before getting through. Once we did get through they were very helpful. The guy on the phone gave me the case number and said that it had already been shipped to London the week before. Happy days! My fiance int he states didnt recieve the letter saying it had been shipped for another week...

Lucky you! My I 130 got approved on August 11, 2014 and NVC still didn't receive it! USCIS will not even tell us anything, expect it can take 90 days for them to sent it to NVC! It has been more than 5 weeks already! I am going crazy here!!!

That's what I am hoping / wanting to confirm, but none of the replies seems to suggest that, so maybe we should just call NVC to find out.

Can you nor your fiancé call nvc? From what I've read on this forum, that's the quickest way to get a response.

And my noa2 was September 10th, but I haven't received any notice that USCIS has mailed it to nvc. I plan to call nvc when it has reached the 2 week mark.

hi all .. I called the NVC today, and when I finally got through (after hitting redial countless times) I waited on hold for more than a half hour. some guy finally got on the phone and sounded incredibly frazzled. he was also so brief with me that I ended up telling him he was rude lol. anyway only one of his three sentences was "helpful" when he said it could take the NVC 4-6 weeks to receive the app and they haven't received mine yet. hanging up with him I felt worse off. thinking of just letting it run its course at this point for the next two weeks or so and then contacting the embassy to see if they've received it. not up for wasting all that time trying to speak to someone at NVC again.

also, they have this on their website ... lovely:

Important Notice

The Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs is currently experiencing technical problems with our passport and visa system. We are operational, but currently issuing documents at a reduced capacity.

This issue is worldwide and is not specific to any particular country, citizenship document, or visa category.

We apologize to applicants who are experiencing delays or are unable to obtain a passport, Report of Birth Abroad, or visa at this time.

We are working urgently to correct the problem and expect our system to be fully operational again soon.

Routine passport services are not affected at this time. We will be posting updates to travel.state.gov as more information becomes available.

Blah. How depressing. What time of day did you call?

And did you get any notification from USCIS that your application had been sent?

When I stopped getting a busy signal it was about 3:00pm eastern time, and then when I finally connected with an agent it was a few minutes after 3:30pm. So frustrating!

I didn't get any text or email or even update on the website about them sending my application to NVC. The last e-notice I got was just that they approved the petition. However on the hard copy of the NOA2 it says they sent my application to NVC as of my approval date, Sept 12.

I think I've learned by now to not trust what anyone on any customer service line says, or any e-notice they may send either. The paper seems to be ruling the roost so I'll believe snail mail (even though that's probably foolish to do also :P)
