Better luck next time.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Salmond has resigned. Happy about that.

It was wrong that 6% of the population got to vote on whether to break up the union.

I disagree. Nothing against individuals from that part of the world but Westminster and that damned royal family deserve to end up in the trash heap of history, after all the evil they've done around the world.

This is what some people are saying about the USA, you know.

ISIS, Syrian civil war, Iraqi civil war, the Cambodian genocide - you guys caused that.

Cambodia, no doubt.

I'm not convinced that the U.S. is responsible for causing the others though. We may have got the ball rolling, but the ball was already there.

Fine theory about the royal family except the prevalent attitude in Scotland is that they would make Elizabeth Queen of Scots

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

I think the war in Iraq will probably go down as one of the worst blunders of the 21st century - it's what's caused the current instability (which has given Russia free reign to start a war in Eastern Europe).

Of course the UK Govt was involved in that (and in the decisions post WW2 which have shaped that region, along with the US). Personally I think Tony Blair should be black-bagged and taken off to the Hague along with Gorgeous George.

IMO the original sin was the dismemberment of the Ottoman Empire. They should have let it be.

We can trace these things to way back when - but personally I think the responsibility lies with the people we voted for: Blair and Bush.

Disagree, the original mistakes were post WW1. GB played a prominent role as did other Western powers like Russia and France.

They also screwed up with Germany post WW1, which came back to bite them in azz hard a few decades later.

The thing is you won't find many British people who aren't aware of that or have a rose tinted view of it.

The US on the other hand, noone is prepared to admit to mistakes carried out by the people they voted for.
