I have heard, that by re-visiting the DS-261 could re-start the clock over again, I hope this isn't the case, keep us all post if this occures. Have you downloaded the DS-260 PDF file from Saylin Wiki page, a good source of information bbefore going online.

No, I never touched the DS261 after I sent it. I think they made him my agent because he paid the AOS fee and his email was on it.

As for the DS260, I filled that out (Saylin's copy) ages ago. Just fine tuning the dates of my addresses. I have lived in SO many places since I was 16, there is no way in this universe that they are going to get exact dates. Just not gonna happen. I can get it down to month and year, but that's it. I am a military brat and was in the military myself, and have moved so many times since then, well, I think they will get the gist. Aside from that, I'm just playing the waiting game :)

Month year is normally fine for dates.

They like the USC to be the agent. They want a US address. It's the silliest form anyhow as everything is sent via email to everyone, EP or not.

This is so helpful. I paid my AOS bill on 10/1/1014 marked paid on 10/4/2014. From all of the comments above I will wait for the IV bill to become active so I can pay, and mail my package for both after paying and marked paid.

It's nice to see that the process seems to be moving along better, best of luck to all, and hopefully I can be with my son and wife by xmas, although, it looks like it may be January.

I was able to pay both fees at the same time

Do you have a lawyer?

Just another data point...

I sent the AOS and IV packets in separate envelopes within the same package. Since I hadn't paid the IV fee I used the AOS cover sheet and wrote IV Package on it for the civil docs. It arrived at NVC on Thursday Oct 2. Coincidentally or not I was invoiced the IV fee on Friday Oct 3. The IV cover sheet has the same bar code on it as the AOS cover sheet.

My experience was exactly like yours.

Yes I did

That's why then. Your lawyer is still attached to your case and you did not have to complete the DS-261.

After a month , my Qatar police clearance is received. And after a month of processing from UAE CID section for fingerprint and notary from Philippines embassy, my Philippines NBI clearance is received.

I should get my UAE clearance by tomorrow. And good to go with my IV package.

Hopefully my husband is able to pay the IV this week.

Is it possible to pay using credit card for IV? My hubby is at the boat right now and won’t be home for another 2 weeks?

No, but it can be paid online by submitting US bank account info. It then takes a couple days to process. The routing number, account number, and type of account are required to process the payment. This info can be taken off of a check.

We already sent the AOS package and I appointed my husband as my agent. Is it okay if Ill send my IV from UAE, where I am at right now and not from US where my husband is.

In my cover letter, can I mention my name instead of my husband whom I listed as my agent?

Yes it's ok to send from UAE and Yes you can mention yourself (and should) in the cover letter. The IV package is all about you if you are the applicant at the NVC stage.

Thanks RobbieG , I listed him as my agent so im thinking it should be him sending my files on my behalf.

Another question, Im planning to use my company's FEDEX account to send the document. corporate rate is almost half the price than the usual FEDEX rate, will it be okay? Sender's name would still be under my name but the address is from my workplace instead of my apartment.
