I have a question. I have met a russian girl here in the states who came to the country as a fiance. She has been married for several months and started her paperwork to adjust the legal status. Unfortunetly things started going bad for her. Her husband turned out to be abusive, emotionaly and phisically. I feel very bad for her and i wonder if anyone has been in this situation or anybody know what she should do? Can she still get her green card if she gets divorced before adjusting her status?
