Yup! AngelD has another question

:help: and I am taking the time to add emoticons--yeay!

My youngest daugher (8months tomorrow) was born in CA. She does not have her Canadian Citizenship Card yet. When applying for the K1 does she need an actual visa to move to the states? I have legal proof that my fiance is her father and her american birth certificate.

Thank you thank you :luv:

and at some point I will update my profile on here

CA? California or Canada? Sorry if that seems dumb, I'm rather tired this afternoon. If the baby was born in the US, doesn't that make her a US Citizen? Doesn't this same baby have dual citizenship if you are Canadian?

If your child was born in the US, she is a US citizen.

She needs her own US passport, and she doesn't need (can't even get) a visa to immigrate to the US.

Born in CA-California

yes, I applied for her american passport on Monday. Just wasn't sure if she would need to be included in all the visa and k1 stuff

thanks for clearing up for me

Angel

You will list her on the I-129F petition but when the time comes for issuing K-2's then you will get one issued for her.

YMMV
