From K1 visa to AOS --> green card

Every K1 visa has 3 months to marry. So if someone marries 3rd month and sends the documents and by the time they get there its already passed 3 months, what happens?

Is it the marriage date count or when they received the paper work?

Many have posted here that they filed AOS late and didn't have any problems. I wouldn't recommend it, once you get out of the standard glide path with government stuff no telling what could happen Good luck

Getting married in the 90 day window is the thing you MUST do with the K1. There doesn't seem to be any requirement for when you have to file AOS though and there have been those who have waited a long while before filing and had no troubles but it's usually best, when you can, to get all that stuff out of the way as soon as possible
