The preznit seems to have less understanding of (and regard for) the constitution than your average civics class pupil. Surely he's aware there's a difference between "rights" and "privileges"? This explains much. :ranting:

"Our Constitution reflects the values we cherish as a people and the ideals we strive for as a society. It secures the privileges we enjoy as citizens, but also demands participation, responsibility, and service to our country and to one another. "

It goes to the core of the anti 2nd .In their eyes.. It's a privilege to own a gun and not a right. I posted a link to an article this week where it can take up to a year and a half in NY state to get a CC permit.. All because a judge is anti 2nd.. This is for a law abiding citizen with no issues ,

If more citizens were armed, criminals would think twice about attacking them, Detroit Police Chief James Craig

Florida currently has more concealed-carry permit holders than any other state, with 1,269,021 issued as of May 14, 2014

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. They are going to help us live the good and just life, even if they have to lie to us and force us to do it. And they detest those who stand in their way."

Good Lord! It's all about the 2nd with you guys, isn't it? I am quite certain that the 2nd didn't even cross the President's mind when he signed that proclamation. To most people, there simply are more important things in life than stupid guns and ammo. Only gun aficionados feel differently.

Gun aficionado you say?

Plenty of people here have no problem using the second amendment to stifle the first. It's like all these guns have made them crazed. Like too much pornography

Alas, it is a privilege. Only recently we were denied a request to purchase a few nuclear ICBMs we were going to put up for auction during our church's revival. My 6-year old child was also denied a gun permit and only recently, Georgia - or one of those states - prohibited having a gun inside some of the state government buildings.

If owning a gun were a privilege every prison inmate would have one.

What really makes me laugh is how a few consider themselves experts in constitutional law based on the opinion they were told to have by some talking head... ah, and par course, their notion is that the constitution contains only the 2nd amendment...:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Actually I think there is evidence that porn creates callous attitudes to sex and is actually harmful to relationships.

It's not a popular view though because people think you want to take away their porn.

Is that what they're talking about when they say "You'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands"?
