Anyone still waiting for NVC number who got approved in August 2014?

Hi!

My I 130 got approved August 11, 2014 and I still did not get a case number from NVC. I called twice already and each time (after being on hold for 40 min. :clock: !!!) I was told that they did not receive my case yet and to call back in a week. My husband called USCIS today and they would not even tell him if my case was even sent out to NVC yet! The only thing they told him was it could take up to 90 days for them to send it to NVC :shocked: !!! Seriously??? Soooooo frustrating!!!! Especially since I see that so many other people got their case number in 2 weeks or less! Anyone else still waiting?

Our I-130 was approved on August 25th - I have a feeling that NVC bulk receives all of the approved cases by the USCIS from the different centers and then starts confirming their receipt one by one (although I have no clue about their inner workings as half the time they seem all wonky). I think you'll be receiving confirmation that yours is received soon as they are going through the papers.

Here's hoping yours comes soon! My Case # and IIN # have yet to be received by the NVC they say it can take up to 30 days but I've seen some already getting theirs from August i-130 approvals.

Our case was approved on aug 15 and my noa1 was on dec 23 ,2013...aftr long wait only i got approval.On sept 2 i got an email from USCIS stating that they have sent our petition to NVC.But when i call NVC they say it can take upto 5 weeks to receive from uscis...Its so frustrating cz before approval i heard from my other frnds that NVC got their case in 8 days and they got case number also soon.We have to wait 1 month to NVC to receive case and again 1 more month for case number i think...GOD

They do not usually send a notice out - only 1 center (that I know of) will update the website and state that they've actually 'shipped' the information to NVC. All others just let you know online that it has been approved and that it will take the steps (i.e. ship the information) to send to NVC.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

So I called NVC again yesterday! On hold again for over 40 min! They still did not receive my file! But since it has been more than 25 days they told me to email them my approval notice and they will contact USCIS to try and locate my file! So I guess that's what I will do! Not that I have much of a choice!


My husband then called USCIS again to find out if maybe they finally sent it to NVC and either they really can't or they just won't tell us where my file is and why it still hasen't been sent to NVC!


According to USCIS It can take up to 90 days for them to send it to NVC and only on the 91st day will they be able to tell us whats going on with my case!!! Because only after 90 days will an actual person go and "look" for my file! I really don't get it! So if it can take already up to 90 days only for sending my file then I am afraid it will be a very, very, very long time till I see my husband again!!!

Just to give you an update - NVC has received and now I've got the case numbers and IIN numbers. There is definitely something wrong with your case if they still haven't received it - Let's hope the USCIS initiating a search and getting NVC searching too. Really Really hope they find your case and you can start the process - I can only imagine what you are feeling right now. (F)

Thank you mofatsd!

We sent the email to NVC a week ago! But of course we did not hear anything back yet! We also contacted our congressman yesterday and his office will try to help us and contact USCIS once we filled out the Privacy Act Waiver, which we will do over the weekend! So let's keep our fingers crossed that we will find out soon where our file is and we can finally move on!
