Just checked in on line and yesterday the notification was posted that I've been scheduled for an interview. Awaiting the letter now.

tocca2015, exactly he needs to slow down hahah. He was getting late for work but thats no excuse!

I almost felt the warm cosy weather of California :wub: I seriously cant wait but i've got a lot of patience ever since things are moving for both of us :)

Thank you so much! I have everyone in my prayer! Hope my husbands interview goes smooth. He hardly gets time from work, so I do all the research for him. Thanks to all you guys! ;)

My husband's interview was today at 7.55 am! And he has been approved :D It went smooth for him. He was called inside at 8.10 or 8.15am and he was done within 15 minutes. IO asked him civil questions, and he got all six right in first go, so no further questions were asked. Then he went through the application…mostly picking out random parts from the application..regarding his jobs, his residence, about me, and then the Yes and No questions. IO asked if he has been arrested, as my husband had marked YES to questions 22-26 due to traffic tickets. So he simply explained to him that he got 2 tickets and thats why he marked YES to those questions. Then the IO just scribbled something with his red pen. My husband asked him if he would like to see the documents related to the tickets, to which the IO said yes. He merely glanced at it for few seconds and then squeezed it in between the thick file he had with him already. My husband forgot to mention about his new ticket..probably he was too nervous but the IO did not even bring that up. He asked my husband about travel history, if he had stayed anywhere more than 6 months, to which my husband answered no.
My husband's green card is based on asylum, so that was also asked by the IO. And my husband did visit his country 2 years ago. So obviously the IO asked the reason, and my husband honestly answered that there had been an emergency and his father was terminally ill. And he stayed only for 45 days. The IO was okay but he asked him if he had consulted anyone before going, my husband said he had consulted his attornery and thankfully the IO did not grill him on it further. He seemed satisfied. The IO then congratulated my husband that he has approved and he should get the oath letter soon. Sooo relieved and happy that it all went well! Just one step left for my husband. And couple of steps for me (i-130) and soon we shall be together :)

I took the oath yesterday at my local USCIS office. There were 35 candidates from 20 different countries. The ceremony last 1.5 hours in total.

Kash2011, please help to redden my name in the list. Thanks.

I am done with the whole process. Thanks a lot VISAJOURNEY, the extremely trustful and helpfull forum !

Biometrics: November 7, 2014

In line for interview: November 10, 2014

Interview scheduled! (email notification): March 23, 2014

Interview letter received: March 25th

Interview: April 24th

In line for Oath: April 27th

Oath: June 23rd

07/16/2013: I-130 package sent

08/22/2013: Package received by USCIS, informed through an automated message
12/05/2013: Receipt number received (NOA1) P.D - 12/02/2013

02/06/2014: Petition approved (NOA2)

02/20/2014: Case received by NVC

04/26/2014: Called NVC, they said they have sent an email on March 28th. No further processing can be done till priority date is current.

02/25/2015: Welcome letter sent, Invoice ID number included
05/04/2015: DS-261 completed

05/05/2015: AOS Fee paid; status “in process”
05/07/2015: AOS Payment status “PAID”

05/21/2015: AOS & IV Package mailed to NVC *Fingers crossed*

05/29/2015: NVC received our documents (SCAN DATE) - Notified through email on 6/4/2015
06/09/2015: DS261 reviewed (found out by calling NVC)

06/14/2015: IV fee bill generated (received email) *cant pay - ceac portal having issues*

06/26/2015: Checklist received for not paying IV fee *waiting to pay online*

07/05/2015: IV fee paid finally website is fixed! *Showed as PAID 7/8/15*
07/08/2015: DS260 submitted

09/22/2015: Case completed finally (over the phone with NVC)
09/29/2015: CC confirmation email received

10/22/2015: Interview scheduled
12/03/2015: Interview (approved!!!)

Dated : 8/12/14------ 03rd Dec 2014 – Early walk in biometrics------ 10th Dec 2014 – Yellow letter received------- 15th Dec 2014 – Online status: Case in-line for interview------ 11th May 2015 – Interview letter received------ 17th June 2015 – Interview at Santa Ana (APPROVED!!) ------- 22nd June 2015 – In line for Oath (E-notification)--------- 30th June 2015 - Oath ceremony notice mailed (Received in mail = 5th July)------- 22nd July 2015 - OATH CEREMONY!! *US CITIZEN*
