Just the first email to tell me that my case was received. I routinely check online, and the status hasn't changed since early October: "Case was received."

There have been some cases that i have read on other threads that people dont get any updates after their case being received. Maybe that has happened to you too. Hopefully you will be getting the interview letter soon.. check your mailbox often. Goodluck! :)

My F2A Journey

07/16/2013: I-130 package sent

08/22/2013: Package received by USCIS, informed through an automated message
12/05/2013: Receipt number received (NOA1) P.D - 12/02/2013

02/06/2014: Petition approved (NOA2)

02/20/2014: Case received by NVC

04/26/2014: Called NVC, they said they have sent an email on March 28th. No further processing can be done till priority date is current.

02/25/2015: Welcome letter sent, Invoice ID number included
05/04/2015: DS-261 completed

05/05/2015: AOS Fee paid; status “in process”
05/07/2015: AOS Payment status “PAID”

05/21/2015: AOS & IV Package mailed to NVC *Fingers crossed*

05/29/2015: NVC received our documents (SCAN DATE) - Notified through email on 6/4/2015
06/09/2015: DS261 reviewed (found out by calling NVC)

06/14/2015: IV fee bill generated (received email) *cant pay - ceac portal having issues*

06/26/2015: Checklist received for not paying IV fee *waiting to pay online*

07/05/2015: IV fee paid finally website is fixed! *Showed as PAID 7/8/15*
07/08/2015: DS260 submitted

09/22/2015: Case completed finally (over the phone with NVC)
09/29/2015: CC confirmation email received

10/22/2015: Interview scheduled
12/03/2015: Interview (approved!!!)

In my case, there was not any update for fingerprint stage at all. The on line status changed from "case received..." to "in line for interview" after 2 months from the 1st one.

I received Biometric information by mail only. About 1 month after doing fingerprint, I received e-mail, as well as on line status updated "in line for interview".

I read there was one case in Apr thread only received "In line for interview" notice 6 months after Biometric, but 2 days later, she received "Interview scheduled" notice and then the "Interview letter" indicated the interview date only 10 days from date of receiving the Interview letter (normally 30 days).

You can check the mentioned timeline in the Apr 2014 thread timeline list.

Filed in October and went for fingerprinting in November. Also got yellow letter. But so far no text or letter for the interview appointment. I haven't been worried and have assumed things slowed down over the holidays with USCIS staff on vacation etc.

But I decided to check 'case status online" and it only says fingerprints were scheduled. Is this the way it has gone for everybody? I would think that 'status' would say something about receiving fingerprints, but then again maybe they don't update that step. I see others are starting to get the 'in-line' letters. When does case status online get updated?

i think i am having a mail delivery problem last 7 days.. i receive no mail at all.. (usually monthly mail that i receive)

my question is

since on the other topics i saw that over the phone uscis doesnt tell interview date.. is there any other way of finding out?? like infopass or something???

You should call the USCIS and tell them that you did not receive your "Interview letter".In this way the tier 2 person will tell you if the letter was generated or not in the first place.

Hello Everybody

i have VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION, your feedback will be appreciated.

i received my interview date today with that excitement, i took a look at my old traffic tickets and stuff to see if i was missing anything. And FOUND OUT I AM MISSING SOMETHING.

here is what happened.

on february 2008 (2 years before i got my green card, when i was married)

i got stopped with my motorcycle while going slow on the road, Police stop me because i wasn't wearing an eye protection. so after he checked my license he came back and told me that MY driving license is not enough to drive big scooter like the one i was driving. i said I'm sorry but i didn't know and i will get motorcycle license right away.. he said that he has to give me 2 tickets. 1- for eye protection(what he stop me for) 2- for no motorcycle license. but there is a problem he said .. i cannot give you a ticket for 2. offense. i need to ARREST you. i said why and stuff. so after like 30 minutes he let me sign a YELLOW PAPER that says ARREST AFFIDAVIT.(i never got taken to jail - he told me to park my scooter, go back home) and he said appear in court with license you gonna get and everything will be okay.

i went and got the license right away, and court dissmissed the case.

so

2 years after this incident i got my 10 year green card.

now

on n400 application on the parts for the "have you ever been arrested " parts i put NO.

letter that came with the interview date says even its dismissed i gotta disclose this information..

what do you guys think i should do???? i don't have any intention about hiding anything from government..

is there any statutory period to disclose such offenses??

on the documents to bring page, it says i have to bring official certified dismissal papers for any offense.. what to do ??

Hi,
my husband is having a somewhat similar situation as yours.. just that he wasnt arrested. He got 2 tickets, one in 2009 and the other 2012 (speeding and missing side mirror respectively). There is a question on the n400 form "Have you ever been arrested, cited or detained by any law enforcement officer" and to that we chose to answer YES because getting a ticket is a citation.
So, a yellow letter came in the mail which is asking for proof and docs related to arrest.. i dont know why they are asking so because we attached an explanation letter about the tickets. Now to be on the safe side, my husband went to the court to get a "court disposition letter" or some kind of court document that would indicate that his case was simply dismissed. But the clerk there said they dont have any information showing up on their system, and that he would need to go to DMV to find his ticket details and then get back to the court. He did an online check of his driving record earlier which was clear. Now he has to go to DMV physically to find out if they can give him anything related to those tickets.
Even though on the yellow it clearly states that you dont need to bring any document incase your ticket was less than $500 and that the person was not under any alcohol or drug influence, we still would want to do an extra effort to be safe. And hiding such information from the IO is not a good idea because it might show up on their system but thats just my opinion.

I would suggest you to go to DMV or your local driving center and show them your tickets and get a driving record. Then go to the traffic court and show your ticket number or case number if you have one and get a court disposition letter.

I got e-notifiction on 12/1 and received the letter in the mail on 12/6.I live in the same town as the USCIS local office though so that might be why I got the letter so quickly. Hopefully your letter will come in the mail tomorrow :)

Oct 07, 2014: Sent N-400 packet.

Oct 14, 2014: Received email and sms text that my N-400 application has been received as well the receipt number of my case.

Oct 15, 2014: Check cashed.

Oct 17, 2014: Received NOA. NOA Notice Date is: Oct 10, 2014

Oct 27, 2014: Received yellow letter: Pre-interview Case File Review. (Does NOT mention date of interview.)

Nov 05, 2014: Biometrics were done.

Dec 05, 2014: On-line status updated: In-line for interview.

Dec 29, 2014: On-line status updated: Interview scheduled; notice was sent by mail with the date.

Jan 03, 2015: Received Interview Appointment Notice. Interview date: Feb 02, 2015.

Feb 02, 2015: Had my interview. I.O. verbally said, I had "passed" and should receive the Oath Ceremony notice within 90 days. I.O. did not give me anything in writing.

Feb 05, 2015: On-line status updated: Oath Ceremony scheduled; notice was sent by mail with the date, time and location of ceremony.

Feb 07, 2015: Received Oath Appointment Notice. Oath date: Feb 13, 2015.

Feb 13, 2015: Oath taken. Received Naturalization certificate. Became a US Citizen!

Mar 10, 2011: First RFE from the CSC. They lost my I-693! Had to re-do it.
Apr 15: Another RFE from the CSC. Bona fide marriage evidence. We provided the requested documents.
Sept 03: Received Interview Appointment Notice. Interview scheduled for September 27. Finally!
Sept 27: We had our interview. Very easy straight forward questions. Officer needed further processing for our case.
Jan 05, 2012: Case status update - Decision: Approved.
Jan 09: Received letter in the mail with Notice of AOS Decision: Approved.
Jan 10: Case status update - Card Production Ordered.
Jan 13: Green card arrived in the mail. Done with AOS!

Hi SunnyCalifornian, i see you are from LA.. do you know that in LA the oath ceremonies take place once or twice in a month. Feb dates are 12th and 13th…so you might be lucky to get in that ceremony :) You can check LA convention center website.
