Hello Everybody i have a question,

are there 2 different for inline interview updates?

such as,

1. you are inline date december 15

2. we started the interview scheduling process for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization

??

i feel like i saw more sentences in my first update and now its like 2-3 sentences with different words.. i can't tell :)

My husband's GC 5 year anniversary would be on 13th of jan. Does this date have any relation with the interview letter? He has been in line for interview since 15th december… no letter in the mailbox yet... :clock::(

07/16/2013: I-130 package sent

08/22/2013: Package received by USCIS, informed through an automated message
12/05/2013: Receipt number received (NOA1) P.D - 12/02/2013

02/06/2014: Petition approved (NOA2)

02/20/2014: Case received by NVC

04/26/2014: Called NVC, they said they have sent an email on March 28th. No further processing can be done till priority date is current.

02/25/2015: Welcome letter sent, Invoice ID number included
05/04/2015: DS-261 completed

05/05/2015: AOS Fee paid; status “in process”
05/07/2015: AOS Payment status “PAID”

05/21/2015: AOS & IV Package mailed to NVC *Fingers crossed*

05/29/2015: NVC received our documents (SCAN DATE) - Notified through email on 6/4/2015
06/09/2015: DS261 reviewed (found out by calling NVC)

06/14/2015: IV fee bill generated (received email) *cant pay - ceac portal having issues*

06/26/2015: Checklist received for not paying IV fee *waiting to pay online*

07/05/2015: IV fee paid finally website is fixed! *Showed as PAID 7/8/15*

The only relation is that he cannot be naturalized before his green card anniversary. Furthermore, most offices do not interview applicants before the green card anniversary, but they can certainly send out interview letters before the anniversary.

Technically, there would be no problem in interviewing someone before their green card anniversary and then scheduling a oath ceremony after the anniversary, but most offices do not do this.

So to answer your question directly, there is no direct relationship between the interview letter and the anniversary.

Thank you :). It was quite of a journey. I thought I wouldn't make it on time. It was supposed to start at 10, but because of the bad weather, they waited until everyone got there, which was 11. The ceremony was simple and last only for 15 mins (I guess the judge wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, before the snow storm got worse). At the end, an uscis officer gave each of us the certificate on the way out. I went there by myself and there was no problem.

1. It means they put you on a waiting list for the interview, and it's not scheduled yet.

2. It means they have already scheduled your interview. You will receive the interview letter soon.

Hi There,

The interview is going to be at the Fairfax location on Prosperity Avenue near the Dunn Loring Metro Station. We had to wait almost a week after the e-mail status update for the physical letter to arrive, so you will probably be receiving it shortly.

Starting to get really worried, since I'm still not even in line for an interview yet...

Did the yellow letter or your e-notice give a date to call them if you haven't received your letter? That date would give you an idea of approximately when your interview will be scheduled for.

What additional information did they ask for in the yellow letter? I am wondering if that might have something to do with the delay.

You can always give them a call or schedule an info pass appointment if all else fails.
