Hi everybody,

i have a question for you all...

with my n400 package, i sent the form that enables the email and text update (i forgot the form number)

till now

i only received case acceptance email, i haven't received ANY TEXT or EMAIL for fingerprint, yellow letter and inline status..

i tried to create and account at uscis website and site was very slow and it somehow didn't complete the whole process now i doesn't let me sign in it says please contact the internet department...

what do you think i should do?

If you dont want to make an account, you can simply go on uscis website, click on "check your case status" and then enter ur case number. you wont have to make an account. simply check it every day or on alternate days

08/22/2013: Package received by USCIS, informed through an automated message
12/05/2013: Receipt number received (NOA1) P.D - 12/02/2013

02/06/2014: Petition approved (NOA2)

02/20/2014: Case received by NVC

04/26/2014: Called NVC, they said they have sent an email on March 28th. No further processing can be done till priority date is current.

02/25/2015: Welcome letter sent, Invoice ID number included
05/04/2015: DS-261 completed

05/05/2015: AOS Fee paid; status “in process”
05/07/2015: AOS Payment status “PAID”

05/21/2015: AOS & IV Package mailed to NVC *Fingers crossed*

05/29/2015: NVC received our documents (SCAN DATE) - Notified through email on 6/4/2015
06/09/2015: DS261 reviewed (found out by calling NVC)

06/14/2015: IV fee bill generated (received email) *cant pay - ceac portal having issues*

06/26/2015: Checklist received for not paying IV fee *waiting to pay online*

07/05/2015: IV fee paid finally website is fixed! *Showed as PAID 7/8/15*
07/08/2015: DS260 submitted

09/22/2015: Case completed finally (over the phone with NVC)
09/29/2015: CC confirmation email received

10/22/2015: Interview scheduled
12/03/2015: Interview (approved!!!)

Given a receipt number.------ 18th Nov 2014 – Email notification indicated case is accepted and forwarded to NBC------ 24th Nov 2014 – NOA1 hard copy received in mail------- 28th Nov 2014 – Biometric appointment letter received in mail. Dated : 8/12/14------ 03rd Dec 2014 – Early walk in biometrics------ 10th Dec 2014 – Yellow letter received------- 15th Dec 2014 – Online status: Case in-line for interview------ 11th May 2015 – Interview letter received------ 17th June 2015 – Interview at Santa Ana (APPROVED!!) ------- 22nd June 2015 – In line for Oath (E-notification)--------- 30th June 2015 - Oath ceremony notice mailed (Received in mail = 5th July)------- 22nd July 2015 - OATH CEREMONY!! *US CITIZEN*

Naturalization Journey

Oct 07, 2014: Sent N-400 packet.

Oct 14, 2014: Received email and sms text that my N-400 application has been received as well the receipt number of my case.

Oct 15, 2014: Check cashed.

Oct 17, 2014: Received NOA. NOA Notice Date is: Oct 10, 2014

Oct 27, 2014: Received yellow letter: Pre-interview Case File Review. (Does NOT mention date of interview.)

Nov 05, 2014: Biometrics were done.

Dec 05, 2014: On-line status updated: In-line for interview.

Dec 29, 2014: On-line status updated: Interview scheduled; notice was sent by mail with the date.

Jan 03, 2015: Received Interview Appointment Notice. Interview date: Feb 02, 2015.

Feb 02, 2015: Had my interview. I.O. verbally said, I had "passed" and should receive the Oath Ceremony notice within 90 days. I.O. did not give me anything in writing.

Feb 05, 2015: On-line status updated: Oath Ceremony scheduled; notice was sent by mail with the date, time and location of ceremony.

Feb 07, 2015: Received Oath Appointment Notice. Oath date: Feb 13, 2015.

Feb 13, 2015: Oath taken. Received Naturalization certificate. Became a US Citizen!

ROC Journey

Nov 04, 2013: Sent I-751 packet.

Nov 08: Received NOA1. Receipt date: Nov 05, 2013.

Nov 16: Received Biometrics appointment for Dec 02.

Nov 18: Succesful walk-in for Biometrics: Done.

Mar 02, 2014: We relocated within the same city, but to a different zip code. Filed change of address of I-751 case pending and AR-11.

Mar 24: Approved!

Mar 31: 10-year GC arrived in the mail.

AOS Journey

Aug 12, 2010: Entered US with K1 visa.
Aug 13: Married.
Aug 16: Sent AOS, AP & EAD package by Fedex to the Chicago S. Dearborn St. address.
Sept 10: AOS case transferred to the California Service Center.
Sept 18: Received hardcopy letter that my AOS case was transferred to the CSC on Sept 10.
Nov 01: AP approved. EAD and AP are available on-line for the first time.
Nov 06: AP received! and Biometrics appointment notice received (scheduled for Nov 29).
Nov 29: EAD card production ordered. (My on-line status jumped from Initial Review to Card Production.)
Dec 10: EAD card received.
Mar 10, 2011: First RFE from the CSC. They lost my I-693! Had to re-do it.
Apr 15: Another RFE from the CSC. Bona fide marriage evidence. We provided the requested documents.
Sept 03: Received Interview Appointment Notice. Interview scheduled for September 27. Finally!
Sept 27: We had our interview. Very easy straight forward questions. Officer needed further processing for our case.
Jan 05, 2012: Case status update - Decision: Approved.
Jan 09: Received letter in the mail with Notice of AOS Decision: Approved.
Jan 10: Case status update - Card Production Ordered.
Jan 13: Green card arrived in the mail. Done with AOS!

My Interview is tomorrow an I am really nauseous / nervous about it. I know everything will be fine, I got the Questions down and writing and reading shouldn't be an issue... But I still can't help but being nervous :)

Oct 14, 2014: Received email and sms text that my N-400 application has been received as well the receipt number of my case.

Oct 15, 2014: Check cashed.

Oct 17, 2014: Received NOA. NOA Notice Date is: Oct 10, 2014

Oct 27, 2014: Received yellow letter: Pre-interview Case File Review. (Does NOT mention date of interview.)

Nov 05, 2014: Biometrics were done.

Dec 05, 2014: On-line status updated: In-line for interview.

Aug 12, 2010: Entered US with K1 visa.
Aug 13: Married.
Aug 16: Sent AOS, AP & EAD package by Fedex to the Chicago S. Dearborn St. address.
Sept 10: AOS case transferred to the California Service Center.
Sept 18: Received hardcopy letter that my AOS case was transferred to the CSC on Sept 10.
Nov 01: AP approved. EAD and AP are available on-line for the first time.
Nov 06: AP received! and Biometrics appointment notice received (scheduled for Nov 29).
Nov 29: EAD card production ordered. (My on-line status jumped from Initial Review to Card Production.)
Dec 10: EAD card received.
Mar 10, 2011: First RFE from the CSC. They lost my I-693! Had to re-do it.
Apr 15: Another RFE from the CSC. Bona fide marriage evidence. We provided the requested documents.
Sept 03: Received Interview Appointment Notice. Interview scheduled for September 27. Finally!
Sept 27: We had our interview. Very easy straight forward questions. Officer needed further processing for our case.
Jan 05, 2012: Case status update - Decision: Approved.
Jan 09: Received letter in the mail with Notice of AOS Decision: Approved.
Jan 10: Case status update - Card Production Ordered.
Jan 13: Green card arrived in the mail. Done with AOS!

I just got home! I was recommended for approval but he said it could be a couple of months until I will get my Oath Ceremony letter. I didn't like to hear that lol but I guess they don't do very many Ceremonies here, so now we are back to waiting :)

Here is my experience.

My Appointment was at 10am and I got there at 9:40am (my interview letter mentioned that because there is not very many seats that we shouldn't arrive any more than 30 minutes before our Interview Appointment. The Lady at the Window was very nice and asked me for the interview letter, my passport and my Green Card. I handed everything to her and she thanked me and said they will call you in as soon as it is or time!

I took a seat and waited. A few minuted later a lady came back in and asked for her Mother in Law.. she was very happy and cried and said she had passed :) I was so happy for her that I almost started crying as well :)

Then the next guy came back.. He was with his lawyer, most people were there with a lawyer which at first intimidated me, I thought did I miss something? Anyways the guy had not passed and the lawyer explained to him why not right in front of me. When he was sworn in he was asked to and he just said yes, and then the IO asked can you explain to me what this means and what the word truth means? Apparently he couldn't. He then was asked 5 Questions for the Civics test and failed all 5. He then also said no to ALL yes and no Questions even the ones like would you defend the constitution and would you join the military in a war situation and all that. So the Lawyer told him not to worry and he would get another interview letter in 60-90 days and he should start studying again. So I thought.. well... I guess it does happen that people fail this... dang.. I felt and for him.

So I was next. The IO was a nice younger guy and introduced himself with his name. He took me to his room and all my paperwork was already in front of him.

He asked me to read "Which State has the most people" And then asked me to write "California has the most people"

Then he immediately went to the Civics test, my Questions were

1. There is 4 amendments to the Constitution, describe one of them

2. Who Vetoes Bills

3. During the cold war what was the main concern int he US

4. If the president can no longer serve who becomes president

5. What was one reason Colonists came to America

6. What is one right or freedom from the First Amendment

I answered all Questions correctly.

He asked me if I wanted to submit any other Documentation that USCIS doesn't have yet that has both my and my husbands name on it, so I gave him the HUD from when we bought a house last year and some more bank statements from the last two years, he seems to be satisfied with it and just filed it to the other gigantic stack of paperwork. He then went on to go over my application, asked if I wanted to Change my name or not and the yes and no Questions and then gave me all my IDs back. He said hang on to that Green Card for now you are not a Citizen yet but you will not need this much longer and we will take it back at your Oath Ceremony. You should be receiving a letter to come to your oath in the next few months. ( I was hoping he would say weeks but oh well it is what it is :) ) He said they would run one last background check on me but as soon as I would get that approval and the last signature from his boss I will get scheduled for oath...

That was it, It only took 10-15 minutes and it was a lot easier than expected :) Im still glad its over with though\Good luck to everyone else that has interviews coming up :) And fingers crossed it will be as smooth as it was for me for all of you :)

April-August... Took a break from the process in order to move back from USVI to mainland USA.

08/07/17... Paid the IV Fees for both my parents ($325 each) today

08/23/17... Called NVC because payment still showing "In Process", was advised to email proof of payment to have them manually correct it

08/24/17... CEAC website shows "Paid" and can now have parents' DS-260 forms filled in.
