Hey guys,

I had my interview yesterday and my visa was approved. This might just be me paying too much attention to detail, but on the ceac website my case creation date has changed from August 11 to September 18th.normally it's just the case that is updated can anyone tell me what this could be.

It means that your visa will be issued soon. The date change is an indicator of this.

Thanks, it has actually now changed to AP i booked a flight for the 27th of september so i hope my visa will be ready by then.

When they change the case creation date, it usually means that they will issue it within the next few business days. The status will change to AP for a short time while the process the paperwork and print the visa out into your passport. Ours took about a week.

I have a similar situation, often the status date updates on ceac website. My fiance's interview date is on the 29th of Sept.

The status remains 'Ready' but the date updates.

Is case or file update related to status date update?

07/27/17 - K1 packet sent at the end of day.

07/31/17 - NOA1

03/22/18 - NOA2

08/28/18 - expected date for medical completion - Sputum test was needed

09/22/18 - anticipated interview date

There's two dates on there: "Case Creation Date" and "Status Updated Date". The "Status Updated Date" means an IO is working on it or "touched" the file. Likely because you have an interview coming up!

Its the 'Status Updated Date:' which changes often for my case.

I also sent them (two days back via. the online contact form) updated employment letter and pay stubs for my I-134 which I had included with my initial application.

Interview was on September 9th, then my creation date was changed on that date. And after two days it was changed again when it was written ISSUED . Dont worry, everything is ok, you will have visa in your hands in a few days :)

And yes, before ISSUED ( September 11th), I had AP (on September 10th).

Then likely someone just added them to your file! No worries, just means someone was updating or looking at your case. :)
