Per CEAC, Our case was received at the embassy in the DR on the Sep 15, 2014 and status changed to ready.

We have had no contact with Embassy only waiting now for the packet 3., but something very strange happened today. My fiancée received a call from the embassy and was told that he needs to go there tomorrow at 11:45. When he asked what documents he needed to bring with him, they stated only his identification. This is very strange indeed and out of the normal processing procedures. What could be the reason for this request? Has anyone ever had this happen to them. Please help, I'm going crazy trying to figure out why they want him there so soon without even an interview, no medical, no nothing, please help!!!!

I am soooo mad. I did not sleep at all last night worrying about this matter so this morning I called my fiancée and he told me that it was not the Embassy who called him but some unknown person. Another thing we have to worry about in the DR. Someone trying to set you up or steal your identity or rob you. Don't know exactly what was the purpose was but I am glad that my fiancée called to verify before going!!!! Everyone processing through the Embassy in the DR BEWARE of the fake Embassy Calls!!!!
