So you feel that a self defence course is over the top as shown in this video. please explain ...

That particular video is not bad, a little over the top imo. My comments are based on my view of the things you post as a whole. You live your life as if the Boogeyman is your shadow. Every living breath is taken with a gun strapped to your side. Not the way I envision life should be.

It isn't and I don't understand where this fear comes from. Bowling for Columbine put it down to all the scare stories in the news media. I think it's more than that.

I don't live in fear. I understand that evil exists in the world and there are folks that desire to do harm to the helpless. I refuse to be a victim and take responsibility for my own safety and protection. The only firearm owner that has said that they hope they could kill someone.... today is a state LEO. I have never encountered anyone else that has professed this wish, At the same time you train for the fact that it may be necessary... .One does hope that they never have to take a life.
