3 15-year-olds among 7 people charged in Chicago machete attack over gang signs

CHICAGO – Seven people, including three 15-year-olds, have been charged in connection with a machete attack on a man at a Chicago public transit station, police said.

The suspects surrounded two men early Monday at the Kedzie Brown Line station and told them to flash gang signs, police said. The men, ages 17 and 26, refused and said they weren't in a gang.

One of the adult suspects swung at the men with a machete, hitting the 26-year-old on the head and neck, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital with cuts and his condition has stabilized, they said.

Four adults were charged Tuesday with one count each of robbery, aggravated battery and trespassing on Chicago Transit Authority property, authorities said. Two boys and one girl, all 15 years old, were charged with trespassing, and one of them was charged with aggravated assault.

One adult suspect was ordered held on $450,000 bond and two were ordered held on $250,000 bond, the Cook County Sheriff's Office said. Bond information was not immediately available for the fourth.

The article looks like a clever government attempt to mask the first botched beheading in the United States. Most gangbangers do not wield machetes unless they are from central America.

Nationality has nothing to do with this. You want to act like these things will not ever happen here and that our current adminstration being the honest straight talking people they pretend to be would inform the general public. I imagine that most British citizens thought the same thing until this happened on the doorstep of a military base INSIDE the United Kingdom. I was just posting a link to an article that was very much similar to this article. The soldier was hacked to death with cleavers and knives in the UK, and the so called gangbangers used machetes in an attempt to behead a person in Chicago. If I used an article from the Middle East your argument would've have been " What's new, that is an everyday event over there" but it is NOT an everyday event in the UK or the United States. I also noticed that it is very difficult to locate any additional information about the 25 year old man who beheaded the woman about 3-4 weeks ago in the U.K. I personally think the government would go to extraordinary lengths to cover any such attacks within our borders due to their lack of immigration and border enforcement policies and practices. I believe that the current administration is afraid that if such an attack was proven it would spell the end to this admin and shite would get real about immigration and border protection.

Gang-related murder isn't an everyday thing in the USA? I don't even live there anymore and I know that isn't true.

When you view a certain you tube video of that attack.It shows a bobby a few hundred yards away crapping his pants while the woman talks down the killer. The bobby was waiting for a good guy with a gun to handle the situation. ... So sad

This is why I train defensive drills. at least once a week. I believe if you strike a blow to the the neck with a machete you desire me dead . I follow some of the same drills as in the You tube video ... 04 to 07 on this video would have been enough to protect that persons life. in a machete attack.

I simply don't understand the mindset. How someone could think they need to live like this outside of a war zone is beyond me.
