Sure. You can also ignore gravity but that doesn't mean that you'll be able to escape it.

And just like gravity, it's a fact of life I can't change. Been around longer than me and it will be here long after um gone. Colder or warmer, I don't know. But for sure, the climate will change, regardless of us humans.

By those who don't know anything about it. On what basis to you make that claim? Why do you know better than phd's that study climatology their whole life?

Where have I ever claimed that I know better? I can look at ice age studies and see that things are changing today, just as they did millions of years ago. Dinosaurs put off methane. An ice age wiped them out. The world moves on. With or without us.

No that's wrong. This time is different and there's tons and tons of reasons and research telling you exactly why. People study this stuff and write white papers. Read them or respect their research.

You are so spot on with that....did the Methane cause the Ice Age?

This time is different because man is reporting it for the first time? You gotta realize how insignificant man is in this cosmos...

it played a part. Just as CO2 does today.

As I said, the tiny effect man has had on the climate of the world that has existed for millions of years before us is infinitesimal at best. < Right here..... unless this is another one of your Jedi Mind tricks

Yeah. But we're talking about earth. And we're not insignificant here. This is not my opinion. This is the opinion of 97% of people that actually study the subject. You just don't want to believe it. I wish you'd read some actual research on the subject. Not political bs. People that are actually doing the work. They'll tell you specifically how they come up with findings. It's not the same bs spewing from the "hippy" group.

Wait..methane and CO2 do not cause warming, they cause cooling?

Of coarse it is. Now we can buy carbon credits.

Don't worry....this "97%" will change the story and we will have a "new" disaster.

We are living on borrowed time. The earth is dying

Oh...yes....send us your money.

Talk about irrational fear.

What are you trying to say? That dinosaurs died because they got too hot? Or the opposite, they were wiped out by an ice age?

When I learned to fish, my uncle said " never cast over empty water"

Nothing that any scientist is going to say to you will make any difference because you are not deciding, you are believing what you believe. This is not a discussion about the facts to you because it is a comparison of world views. Good luck with your path.

Lot less comercial airline crashes in the US than back in the 60,70's. Must mean we are experiencing gravity change

Consider that man's influence on the environment falls somewhere between the bold left line and the inside right of the numeral zero. Sure, man plays a part. But with current data, that part is insignificant in the overall scheme of things. Temp fluctuations occur with and (mostly) without man's involvement. Of course, we won't know where the temps and ice volumes will be on the left of the chart for another thousand or so years. Personally, I don't think any of us will be around to talk about it.

The above graph shows that Earth is in an ice age period when the overall temperature is a mere 3 to 6 degrees centigrade cooler than it is today. The data also shows that Earth came out of the last ice age and started heating up approximately 20,000 yrs ago, came out of the ice age completely about 13,000 yrs ago, and has maintained a fairly stable temperature ever since. So, what does this data tell us? Have you figured it out yet?

This data basically tells us two things. First, ice ages have a cyclical pattern which obviously has nothing to do with humans causing global warming. After all, Earth started heating up and coming out of the last ice age about 20,000 years ago. You can see that as the planet started heating up, the ice volume was being reduced in direct proportion. In fact, in the last 13,000 years, the temperature on Earth has stayed fairly constant which is also reflected in a slowing of ice volume reduction across the planet.

Second, is the existence of an observable cycle within the 450,000 years of ice core sample data. If you look at the data, you can see an obvious pattern where Earth enters a cooling cycle for approximately 80,000 years followed by a heat cycle of about 20,000 years. These figures combined result in a cycle for ice ages of approximately 100,000 years, like clockwork.
