Still trumpeting a long debunked myth? The below is from 2009. The "Petition" hasn't gotten any more valid since.

Nope, haven't trumpeted even once. Simply quoted a news site is all. Like it or not, there are people who think the whole global warming thing is insignificant. Whether or not that opinion agrees with your beliefs, it is still out there.

As I said, the tiny effect man has had on the climate of the world that has existed for millions of years before us is infinitesimal at best. Guess what happens after ice thaws? It freezes again. Obviously, southern Florida has not been washed away by rising tides yet. Nor has California fallen off the west coast of America.

Personally, I don't lose much sleep over this topic. Maybe that's just me.

California will only fall off the west coast if there's a massive quake in the San Andreas fault. Don't think climate change will have much of an effect on that..

And yet folks have been saying this since I was a kid. Maybe longer. Hasn't exactly happened, has it?

Who has said it? Certainly no geologist would make such an physically impossible claim. If someone who has no expert knowledge says such a thing without any support from the scientific community I think you can safely ignore it as a non-issue.

Folks, yes. 97% of geologists? No.

Snap, sort of ;)

I'm not sure what your point is, they are completely separate subjects.

Different science as well - seismology and geology are very different to meteorology and climatology. What are you saying here, that scientific research is pointless?

Perhaps we should go back to the days when people attempted to predict the weather by throwing carved finger bones. Enough of that Doppler radar bollocks.

Okay, so you quote an op-ed that trumpets a myth that was debunked 5 years earlier. Not sure that's any better.

You mean it can be ignored like a "petition" signed by 31,000 "scientists" of which only half a percent - that's the optimistic estimate - are experts in the field that the "petition" addresses?

The whole subject of climate change can be ignored. By those who realize it isn't a concern.

By those who don't know anything about it. On what basis to you make that claim? Why do you know better than phd's that study climatology their whole life?

Sure. You can also ignore gravity but that doesn't mean that you'll be able to escape it.

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.
