Hey VJ folks!

Long time reader, but infrequent poster here. I don't see this topic covered in the forums.

Long story short, We submitted our I-129 in July, and in August, I found out I'm being sent to Germany in November. So... it was evident we needed to rush things along. USCIS was terrific and they rushed our NOA2 in 21 days with a military expedite. NVC was a bit slower, but eventually caught up. Now, our packet is sitting in London. We haven't heard a peep from them. The DS160 is submitted, medical being done today, and readiness form submitted. We are ready to go.

I've emailed them three times (once per week), and gotten absolutely NO response to a military expedite request. Called the consulate phone number, and upon actually getting a live person, they continuously defaulted to "Email is the only way to contact the embassy." Well, email isn't working at all.

We have roadblocks of needing to get my fiancee here, get married, AOS, added to military DEERS system, and to my travel orders. One month to do those things is a very tight time frame.

It's pretty clear that this is an urgent scenario, and I know it's asking for a lot of favor to have someone help. But... it's for good reason. Anyone have helpful advice to actually get in touch with the embassy? If they wait a month for the interview, our chances are dead in the water, and we'll have to start over with a completely different route to be together.

.

The contact form is the best way. Use reason "immigrant visa not covered by website". If you didn't use the form, then try it. http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html That is really the only way to get an answer. Be sure and tell them the date of the medical and that her other forms are in. Tell them she is able to accept a cancellation and attend on short notice. They could email and say to attend in two days.

What is the plan when you leave? Does she stay in the US until she completes AOS?

Yup! Used the contact form for inquiries. Man, it was tough reducing an expedite request to 1,000 characters! My emails to them have included all pertinent information, and indicated readiness ASAP. On the CEAC website, our status was updated from "Ready" to "Ready" yesterday, but we haven't received anything in the mail or by email. My fiancee flew down to London today from Scotland just to attend the medical today. Incidentally, she happened to walk past the embassy this morning, and sweetly inquire about speaking to someone since she was already in London. They shut her down immediately, and told her to email.

Really hoping we don't need to address her remaining here to get AOS to move with me. It *might* be possible to delay my Report date by a week or two, but we are hoping that the embassy can assist us in processing quickly.

They won't give you any date until the results of the medical arrive. Maybe next week when they get that, they will respond.

Good luck getting her travel document (AP) and biometric appointment expedited so she can leave the US. I don't know if there are military exceptions, so that's why I asked. I don't keep up with at part of VJ.
