Does someone need to be a student (at a particular school) to apply for part time jobs at a college or university campus?

Are there part time jobs on a school campus that foreign students are not allowed to apply for but LPRs or aliens with work authorization can apply for?

What does the recruitment policy for the local university say? If they're a decent sized univerity they will include information on their website about the hiring of LPRs and which jobs are open/not open to LPRs. Clicking through the job ads for the university should also tell you whether or not you would be eligible and if they don't, you could always email or call them.
