About a year or so ago i had an issue with the police.

While working in shop i bought alcohol off someone that came in, i left it in the shop while i went for lunch and in that time the please was searched by customs

turns out two of the bottles were actually fake and hadnt had customs paid.

the local city council guy gave me a letter saying i was warned about this issue, i had to sign it

in the UK a caution isnt a conviction

there was no court involvment and the person who issued the warning was a council officer ot a policeman

will this show on ACPO certificate, howlikely is it to impede my visa ?

* - 18th August 2014 - I-129f Sent

* - 21st August 2015 - Recived at CSC

* - 30th September - NOA 1 Received

* - 3rd November - NOA 2 Received

-- was never sent to NVC, got it re approved --

* - 9th January - NOA 2 approved

* - 13th January - Notice from CSC that it was sent this time to NVC

* - 21st January - Received at NVC

* - 22nd January - Case Number assisgned

* - 31st January - left NVC for London

* - 6th Feb - Arrived at Embassy

* - 10th Feb - Packet 3 Received and DS-160 Filled out.

* - 25th February - Medical :dancing:

* - 26th February - readiness form sent

* - 7th April - Interview - approved

* - 14th April - Visa in hand.

* - 17th April Tickets booked http://itsalmo.st/#timetofly

A UK police caution is an admission of guilt and settled without going to court. It counts with US immigration folks. If yours was a caution of that nature, it would show up on your police certificate as "no live trace". Get something that shows the charge and fine, settlement, etc. (Yes I know you said there was none, but get it in writing). You can order a Subject Access Report if your police certificate says anything but "no trace".

I said in your other thread you could wait until NOA2 to order the police certificate. With a possible charge, order soon so you can order the SAR if needed. it takes longer.

People get visas with worse than what you described.

Your APCO police record might come back No live trace.

Why are we debating this when you can order the certificate and know if there is a record or not?

If you get "no trace" then the US government will never know about it and you don't have to "confess" to a maybe crime/violation/citation/whatever. No trace-you are clean.
