A PR applying for minor son with a PD of Feb 13, Mexico. We sent in the DS-261 in December. Case close April 1st. He turned 21 April 14th. It took 7 months for I-130 to be approved.

I know I read here that the age freezed when the DS-261 was sent in. But I haven't been able to confirm that outside this board. I've tried to talk to a couple different lawyer and haven't got any where. Has anyone on the board been in this situation. Can anyone confirm with?? When our PD comes current am I going to have to fight to get an interview and during the interview? Do you think I should get a lawyer? If so any suggestions on who?

01/02/2015 - Interview scheduled (Interview Date: 02/12/2015)

More info:

PD: Feb 25 2013

I-130 approved: Aug 30, 2013

NVC recieved: Nov 22, 13 (I had to have NVC and USCIS do a research why it hasn't arrived)

DS-260 completed: 15 DECEMBER 2013

NVC case closed: 3/19/2014

DOB, April 12, 1993

Hubby Step-Mom Apply for minor child
2/25/2013 - Priority Date

NVC
03/19/2014 - Case complete at NVC

01/02/2015 - Interview scheduled (Interview Date: 02/12/2015)
