Hello - I've been reading in some threads that some people get invoiced for the IV bill a few days after paying the AOS fee. I am a Canadian, applying for a CR1 spousal Visa. We paid the AOS fee mid-August and then sent in the form. We also sent in the I864 2 weeks ago. We have been waiting to be invoiced so we can send in the IV package, but we're still waiting.. it's been about a month. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help!

The IV fee bill is tied to your DS-261 (choice of agent form) submission. Did you submit it? Although it used to be that the bill was generated days after submitting the form, things are so backed up at the NVC that it's taking much longer. In our case, it took them about a month and a half from the date of submission to invoice the fee. If you call and ask, they'll probably tell you 60 days from when your choice of agent was submitted.

Yes - we did submit the DS261 - Mid-August. We check every day to see if we've been invoiced for the IV bill.. and we're starting to wonder if we're missing something!

No, that's just the lay of the land unfortunately. Make sure you don't go back into the DS-261 and resubmit the form, as I've heard that doing so will reset the timer.
