I know you didn't use the race angle regarding the Michael Brown shooting. I wasn't including you in the group that went immediately for the race angle. But it did happen here and very quickly too.

it's a grey area. racism played a part in the michael brown shooting. it just wasn't a specifically racist act.

How so?

what i just said..profiling and the war on drugs generates prejudices/attitudes regarding human 'value' within police departments.

No more than one story proves the majority of white people are racist

When has anyone said the majority of white people are racist? You seem to confuse situations with the whole population of the US.

There are tons of proof that institutionalized racism exists. And there's tons of proof that there are racist people out there, of all shape and sizes. I can only speak for me, but I hold them folks accountable for their actions, not white people in general.

If you really want to be middle of the road, start fighting for both sides of the aisle. Race is talked about more here even when I'm not the cause, and yet it's not focused on because said member isn't black. If I bring it up, I'm race baiting. If you bring it up, it's imperative to the narrative. Because when certain members start posting stories about black people and the black community all because the actions of a few miscreants, it's a slap in the face when you either join in with them or worse, remain silent.

That does not necessarily equate to racism or a racist cop, nor is there any evidence (yet) that racism played a roll in the michael Brown shooting.

Nah, TRN is what the moderate middle of the road folks consume.

It's certainly an example of how anyone can set up a website and call themselves a journalist. Believe it or not, there is some training involved in becoming a journalist.

What is that even suppose to mean? Is there anyone on here who actually, unequivocally believes that the majority of white people are racist?

It's like you're arguing with your own preconceptions rather than the beliefs of others.

So in typical little yip yap fashion, since you can't argue with the story, you attack the source!

I wasn't attacking the source at all. I was merely giving voice to my surprise how self-described moderate, middle of the road folk actually frequent far right wing "news" sources.

Here's what Val is saying:

When you have a perceived notion of a person or people, it tends to dictate how you handle a situation with said person or people. It's been said here millions of times about the crime rate and black people. So, it's understood that when one is pulled over or something happens, it might go sideways a lot faster than any other race of people.

Black people are handled differently in certain situations. Regardless of my actions, I'm judged by the worst of us, rather than the best of us.
