Hi, I am about to file my I-751 soon.(in Hawaii)

I appreciate if anyone can help me on my questions regarding Biometrics (Well, I haven't even filed I-751 yet, but...)

What if I can't make it on the appointment date?

Can I designate the date that I want to go for Biometrics in some way?

If I can't, then what if the date that was re-scheduled by USCIS turns out a bad day for me again?

Also, is there anyone who knows if Honolulu center accepts walk-in for Biometrics?

Thank you

Hi,

You can definitely ask Uscis to reschedule your appointment to a later date by indicating same on the biometrics letter and mailing that back. You can't pick and choose the dates though. Your ability to Walk in for biometrics also varies from one service center to the next. Good luck

My wife did her biometrics in Honolulu 2 weeks early (scheduled appt date conflicted with work). Additionally, her appointment letter was for Baltimore (home/mailing address), despite the fact she is temporarily working in Hawaii, and the I-751 clearly states physical address in Hawaii, along with a letter explaining she is in Hawaii, and doing the online address change.

In any case, she just showed up 2 weeks early with the Baltimore appt letter and got everything done, they didnt even blink. They are pretty chill in Hawaii.

Thank you S_R, John Frank, a & a,

I see.

I have been searching for experiences of walk ins to Honolulu service center on the internet and looks like many people have done walk in for Biometrics on earlier dates than their scheduled date.

Some people say that Wednesdays are good for walk in Biometrics at Honolulu service center.

Is it true? How about Monday, Tuesday, Thursday? I see that the center can be crowded towards weekends.

Does anybody have idea on this??

I'm flying to Honolulu from neibor island, so I don't want to be denied when I get there after all the hassle...

I called the number on the appt letter when I first received it, telling them that the letter was wrong, she was in Hawaii and not Maryland. The guy said just go to Honolulu instead, no big deal.

My wife went on a Friday around noon, two weeks early. She was in and out in 45 minutes. Even with the Baltimore appt letter, nobody cared.

When I flew out of Honolulu back to the mainland, the TSA guy said to leave shoes and belts on, don't need to take computer out of bag. "We do it differently here," he said.

People in Hawaii are pretty relaxed, I wouldnt worry about the biometrics appt too much. Not sure how I feel about the TSA though.
