Question regarding USPS Priority Mail

Hi! I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, I just wanted to see if i should be worried about something related to my I-129F petition.

I sent out my I-129F packet on Thursday, September 11 via USPS Priority Mail. I requested a return receipt.

I've been tracking my package and on Saturday September 13 it was available for pickup. This morning I got my return receipt saying it was delivered on Sunday at 4 PM and there was no signature, which made me a little suspicious.

Does "delivered" mean it was placed in the PO box, or is that what "available for pickup" meant? I'm just confused that it was delivered on a Sunday but the USPS has no signature...

I've been freaking out about every small thing. This doesn't help

We sent our AOS package September 12 and I've been checking all the time ( literally....all the time haha ) and Sunday it arrived to Chicago ( that means usps works Sunday I thought they didn't ) and today it says delivered.

So I guess if it says delivered you are good. USPS priority mail is 2 days so seems about right :)

I wouldn't worry about the signature , good thing they kept with the tracking of the package one of the first things they told me was that sometimes they forget to update it.

I figured the "delivered" meant it was at its final location with the correct person. I was assuming it would be considered "delivered" on Monday when it was received by a human.

i know nothing about the postal system :whistle:

As far as I'm aware, from reading posts around the time my fiance and I filed, delivery confirmation isn't the best option due to issues surrounding the way USCIS has their postal service set up. They have only a lockbox, there are no physical employees at the lockbox to actually sign for anything. Postal service drops either the package or the delivery card into the lockbox, then an employee will go on a business day to pick up the giant pile of packages. Most likely signing one time for all of them. My fiance and I just used overnight, delivery confirmation with no signature and insurance. It arrived fine by the next day.

Good luck! :)
