When I began reading about the obvious discrepancies not only between the CSC and TSC processing times- but the expediting of all Phillipine visas- I contacted my local Congressman because I wanted answers. I was told that they will do a congressional inquiry into my petition when and if I feel that the process is taking too long. I plan on doing that if I've not heard anything after 3 months. And my reasoning will be for the above mentioned. If you are the United States citizen- I encourage you to do the same. Especially because it is an election year- you'd be surprised how willing the staff who work for your local congressman will be. If enough people begin making congressional inquiries into the status of their petitions as well as making those congress members aware of the discrepancy- I believe they will have to listen. And again, as American citizens we are supposed to have certain rights afforded to us....such as being able to marry the person we love without waiting 7 or 8 months while others wait 2 months or less, and without having other nationalities petitions put before others. I agree that making calls- writing email/letters- and asserting our rights is the way to go. Because I know I'm not the only person fed up with this joke of a system.

I totally agree !!! We are planning on doing the same thing ! I hope it'll work! I can't and don't want to wait that long !! Please keep us updated about when and how you're going to do it and about the results. Best of luck

I'm getting so frustrated! It heartens me to see some of my fellow July filers getting approvals, but at the same time..... The wait is extraordinary and since the new "update" I can't access our case online, and when I call THEY can't access the case either. Is it just lost now? Is it not processing because of 'technical difficulties' from updating a website that didn't even need it?

Moreover, I filed an expedite request in SEPTEMBER for financial hardship (my daughter can't be in daycare because of immune deficiencies, so we're having to pay $1600 a month for in-home care for her, when my fiancee will be staying home with her when he moves here). They outright declined it based on 'not providing enough information - except they didn't ask me to submit evidence. So I re-requested expedite two weeks ago, but since then our case is not accessible so its going to be declined AGAIN.

Meanwhile CSC is 6 weeks out, and phillipine cases are being processed on a 2 week turnaround. At this rate, he won't be here until July of next year. I am so heartbroken tonight dreading another season of holidays without our family being together.

Please tell me approvals are coming soon......

It's been showing error for me too. So I just signed up and added both my email and phone for them to message me when new update. I saw others in May filers getting reply through that even if the case status check shows error message.

@ ChristieLindsey........ That's sad they don't expedite for you. My advice is to contact your elected officials in your district. I heard that they will reply and they have specific person handling immigration complaints

It's been like that for over a week now. Just login to your account and view your case status that way. That is what I have been doing. It's crazy they want to update the system and then it doesn't even work!!!

Another thing that might help put a lot of people to ease, I've been checking igors list recently and all the recent TSC approvals SEEM to be correct (they're all in places that would be covered by TSC and they're mostly June filers apart from the occasional September filipino filer getting approved). So reading through this forum I saw someone say that we TSC filer should be more considerate as TSC gets about 30,000 filers a year. My brain is weird, to keep myself calm I like doing math (don't judge ?). Correct me if my math is wrong. Let's say TSC gets 30,000 petitions a year, and their time frame is 6 months (roughly 183 days). 30,000 divided by 183 comes out to be about 164 petitions needing to be accepted a day to meet the 6 month requirement. Now that would seem like a lot, but our petitions only get looked at for 10-15 minutes (as been stated multiple times all over this website.) Lets say they give us the benefit of 15 minutes that's 2,460 minutes a day to approve 164 petitions. Given if there is only one person working at TSC (which I highly doubt and they'd have to be working non-stop) they would only be able to approve 40 applications (given they work from 8-6 as said over the phone). That means they'd have to have at least 5 people working to approve 40 applications a day making it a grand total of around 200 applications being accepted. Of course my math could be totally wrong, and given I didn't include lunch breaks and weekends, this is just a REEEAALLLYYY rough estimate of how they deal with things in TSC. I thoroughly believe that TSC has way more than 5/6 representatives working, they really shouldn't be needing to take that long. Id say with 30,000 applications 4 months should be the average waiting since 2 months is the average CSC waiting period. Then again I did all the math just to de-stress my mind and it might be fun for some of you all to read. Correct me if I made any errors it's 7am by me and I still haven't slept yet for the night ?.
