Lorvin, our timeline is similar and I hope you were given correct info. It is such a pathetic situation we are in. By now we should have earned the noa2 but instead we are begging for it.

Yes - me too! He really left me with the impression that I would hear something before the new year and certainly before I return from Ireland on the 9th.

So today marks exactly five months from the date they received my petition. Do I wait until the date I received my NOA1 before I start calling? Are you immediately asking for a Tier 2 person, or are there other people you have to go through first? I'm just making my plan before I make the phone call. And for those who have gotten their Senator involved, are you calling the Senator's office or sending emails?

Tier 1 transferred me to Tier 2 because my status online and via the phone are not accurate and only a Tier 2 can see my status.

I emailed my Congressman early on to inform them of the broken system. I emailed him again when Obama signed the Executive Order, voicing my concerns with adding 5 million applications to a fractured system. His aide did share processing concerns with someone up the ranks at USCIS and he checks in with USCIS periodically but I don't think he's moving the petition along for me.

I had prepared letters to my Congressman and Senator as we neared the 5 months mark and sent them out the day after our Notice Date of July 8. My Senator's office contacted me back stating they raised an inquiry but we have not yet heard back. I faxed over a letter (not too long, but enough to get my point across) along with the privacy form. I would visit your Senator's website first and check if they have a 'help with agency' section or something similar. Normally they have the privacy form you can download and send in with your documents - it speeds up the process. Otherwise they have to review your case, contact you, have you send the privacy form, etc...

I gave one attempt at talking to a Tier 1 (absolutely useless and to top it off she was rude and snotty). After that I just ask for Tier 2. First Tier 2 I received raised an inquiry. Now we just wait.

I heard from my Congressman's office yesterday. They were contacted by USCIS regarding my case and given the same answer they try to give all of us about not being outside of timelines because website says May 6th... so that's nothing new. What was new is, he was told by them that processing times would be getting shorter in January. Not exactly what we want to hear but we know by now there is a lag factor (December has to improve for January to look better) so, I'm hoping the last 10 days of December see things moving quicker as well. I don't know if you are following Josh's timeline projections for June. What Josh is seeing in his data model supports processing times improving for us but now that we are 5 months into this we can't expect much better than 6 months for approvals.

Just don't forget that for TSC unfortunately is 5.9 month and not 5, that was before the last update which doesn't say in months anymore. But agree better do something early than wait for 6 month range. We also let our congressman know about TSC backlog etc, so far the only thing we got back from them is that "TSC is looking into our case" whatever that means. If approvals doesn't start happening on the next 2 weeks we definitely will HAVE to heard something on January. I know it's awful, seems so far away but we are next it's already on the corner. Just hang in there. I just had too many ups and downs and looks like I'm in a up moment right now lol.

Actually that's quite a lot of information compared to what most usually get.... thank you for passing it on. I had given up on hearing this year, especially since we are a few weeks behind you but had still thought of it coming down to weeks rather than months. Its sad that they have to keep passing on the silly old "May 6th" line that we have all come to know and resent. This does match up with Josh's data and a few may get through this year.. we can only wait and see.

Thank you for the update

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

I see you are from Williamsport - I am near Scranton! Small world. :)

I'll be sure to keep updating with the response from Senator Toomey and Congressman Barletta's offices once I receive them, as your NOA date is a day before ours.

Good luck!

That's cool! I had an opportunity to stop there once when I was coming from a trip. Big town!

Please, keep us updating. Our congressman-Tom Marino said 30 days (which is close to end) for giving us a report about TSC but I'm don't think he can gather us some useful information, who knows.

Thanks! Same here! :)
