As I have mentioned before, my status was terminated a few years ago but I was never taken to court. In fact, an officer told me off the record that ICE did not find my case strong enough to take to immigration court. So I have been in limbo for 3 years. My E-Verification was working until last month. Luckily I had filed an i-751 Hardship Waiver last month and I was able to restart the process. I was not sure I was going to get a stamp but I made an Infopass and the officer reviewed my file which clearly showed ICE does not intend to take me to court. She reviewed it some more and then told me she was sorry that this was taking too long. She stamped my passport and told me if I have not received my green card or court date before the stamp expires, I can go get another one. If I get my approval before they file the case in court, the NTA will be withdrawn. So..for those whom conditional residence has been terminated, there is hope.
