Are you flying to Hawaii?

Computers in USA are much cheaper and more modern than what you can find in Philippines.

What they charge you 40,000 peso I can buy here in USA for like 15,000 pesos

Maybe but I don't really feel it's necessary to buy a new one since I have a topped-out gaming rig with 3x monitors and all that jazz. I also don't think many people in the Philippines can afford the whole thing so I might have to sell it for dirt cheap.

Just wondering how much it will cost for shipping so I know how much I should sell this in the Philippines (in-case I decide to) and buy a similar one in the US.

My rig all in all probably costs around USD 3000 without the monitors.

Well, I just did a practice quote on fedex.com from Manila Philipines to a city in Tennessee and the total for a 20kg package was

12980.05 Phillipine money for International Priority with a 2 day delivery

And

10432.25 Phillipine money for a 4 day delivery.

I could have messed up dramatically when making that quick quote, but maybe i'm close.

Go to Fedex.com and see if you can find what you're looking for.

Why not just put it in your carry-on? Nothing illegal about that. And it is free.

That's a great suggestion for the OP.

I don't think it would be a valid carryon size-wise and weight wise.

Maybe we are missing something. What exactly is your computer; is it a PC or Laptop? We know the weight but what are the dimensions, how many pieces. This will help us understand just what we are dealing with. Are you traveling alone or can someone help share in carrying a piece or two with their carryon. Pack a piece in your luggage and the main component in your carry on (if it will fit).

You got to think outside the box. Check out the airlines website for weight restrictions to determine if it can travel with you.

sell the monitors - wrap the computer in 2 sets of cardboard, put into suitcase, pad with clothes, it'll be ok in checked luggage at the airports.

leave the mouse and keyboard in the PI.

get the rest of the gear you need in the USA.

if you want to do really cool gaming, get to a pawn shop, get 55 inch gas plama monitors for 150/each, reconnect to yer 3 vid ports.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

My computer is a full tower PC with 3x SLI GTX 780ti so I don't think it'll fit in a carry one and might be too heavy for a box as well.

I will be traveling alone.

Just wondering what my options are for shipping this thing to the US for now.

My husband just built a gaming pc recently and judging from that, your best bet is to tear it down and pad all the parts to avoid damage. Just get a new case here in the US and rebuild it here. (simply put, what Darnell said).

I imagine the shipping cost to be outrageous. Plus, I'm sure you prefer handling it personally.

I'd suggest that you only bring over the desk top tower and maybe the mouse and keyboard. I agree with the suggestion that you should sell your monitor.

And I also built a good gaming pc as I'm obsessed with a game called League of Legends, and in total it cost me around $1300 including the gaming mouse and the mechanical keyboard, and a monitor (not high end). I have been satisfied with this PC and play games and stream my games live without any problems.

Therefore I think if you actually have to pay to get your PC to the states, you might wanna see how much you can sell it for first.
