DHS confirms ISIS planning infiltration of US southern border

A senior Homeland Security (DHS) official confirmed to Congress on Wednesday that militants associated with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) are planning to enter the United States via the porous southern border.

Francis Taylor, under secretary for intelligence and analysis at DHS, told senators during a hearing that ISIL supporters are known to be plotting ways to infiltrate the United States through the border.

“There have been Twitter, social media exchanges among ISIL adherents across the globe speaking about that as a possibility,” Taylor told Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.) in response to a question about “recent reports on Twitter and Facebook of messages that would urge infiltration into the U.S. across our southwestern border.”

“Certainly any infiltration across our border would be a threat,” Taylor said, explaining that border security agents are working to tighten measures that would prevent this from taking place.

“I’m satisfied we have the intelligence and the capability on our border that would prevent that activity,” Taylor said.

I think Mr. Taylor needs to saddle up his unicorn and mosey on down to the border or any of the detention centers the illegal aliens are being housed, and then tell us how secure our borders are!

I think Mr. Taylor needs to saddle up his unicorn and mosey on down to the border or any of the detention centers the illegal aliens are being housed, and then tell us how secure our borders are!

What nobody is saying is that they may also have plans to enter the US through the Canadian border and any port they can land at. McCain should be nominated for 'Captain Obvious Award'.

I find it rather pathetic that anyone should feign surprise at the thought of terrorists acting on US soil. For the rest of us it became clear that would be part of a new paradigm, in the morning of 9/11.

'Mexico's Southern Border' is in fact, the border between Mexico and Guatemala and Belize. Why the motley crew would want the US to build a fence in the south of Mexico remains a mystery...

'...the US is evil for protecting it's southern border...' - this has no meaning in English.

We can only surmise this also belongs to the genius who crated the prop...

A fence like that solves the problem, yes? Odd, then, that we have all these minors from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras coming through Mexico into the US. You get that? They make it past the pictured fence on Mexico's southern border. But you want to believe that they wouldn't make it past such fence if it stood on Mexico's northern border. Why exactly would you believe that? Why would anyone believe that?
