K1 at NVC with Case #

Hello, it has been nine days since the NVC received the I-129f documentation from USCIS. The second day after receipt they gave me the Case #. When does this documentation to to the Embassy? We were told that the case is in Administrative Processing, but all it says on the Status Page is 'At NVC'. Calling another representative after a 25 minute on hold (!!!!) pause, he didnt say anything more just that it is being prepared to send to Embassy.

Should the Medical and DS-160 be completed now?

Dave

Hi,

I'm sorry but I can't see what country your fiancée is in...

also I'm glad that you're finally through TSC ! :)

For us, it took around 1month after NOA2 for the Embassy to get it. You can already gather the documents together for the interview.

You can do the DS-160 but it's no rush, it doesn't take that long to do it (I have to do it again because of a mistake and it doesn't take long at all, it seems like it but no ^^)

For the medical exam, if your fiance is in a country with many visa applications I think you can go ahead but you have to keep in mind that it's only good for 6months. If you're sure all will be done and she will travel in less than 6months, go ahead... For me, getting the medical appointment didn't take long. One call and I chose the date I wanted, the first appointment took like 30min (more between 20-30) then the Dr told me to come back 6days later and this time it took 10min. I did expect a whole day thing lol but it wasn't at all. I went to do the Xray & BloodAnalyze else where and it was really quick too.

Good luck on the next part of your visajourney, this one is waaaaaaay more fun than the waiting game at TSC !

So it's not gonna be easy.

It's going to be really hard;

we're gonna have to work at this everyday,

but I want to do that because I want you.

I want all of you, forever, everyday.

You and me.. everyday.

I say wait till they get the documents at the embassy. Once they do, they should contact your fiancée and give her the instructions on the medical exams, interview, etc. So no need to rush like Mirhen said. If you see on the website that the Embassy already received the documents and she has not been contacted yet then she can write an email or call the embassy. Good luck!

Thanks for the information. The case I am told is in administrative processing. I updated my timeline yesterday and I think I deleted the country information by mistake...ahhhh!!!

When I called today a very 'brief'' call the woman said there is no expiration date of the administrative processing. The clock is ticking I told her since the peitition is only valid for four months

Petition does not expire in 4 months, the embassy can extend it up to a year automatically. Relax.

I know you're worried people are being slow... and especially after waiting so long to get where you are but you'll see it will all go by fast once it reaches the embassy :)

Thank you. I guess its just that we USCs seem to be treated like sXXt by the government which is supposed to be 'by and for the people'.....old concept I know....;-( I get upset at that

If you know you will get married quickly afterwards. You darn tooten get and and everything as soon as you can.

It all depends on how quickly you plan to get married after the K1-Visa issued.

You asked for opinions that is mine and here is why.

Our story. We lost a month up front. Right we decided to file war broke out in Gaza, mail that normally takes one week topk four weeks to get. In the mail was her photos for aplication and her signed background and letter of intent. She can not jst go to a.photo shop or get time off whenever she wants and has a 24 hour five and half day a week responsibility. And when she off most places are closed so we had to sit and wait for the mail. We decided durng that agonizing month of waiting for letter with data we would not get caught unprepared to move again.

Now, My fiancee and I have done everything we can. I have gotten letters from my banks accounts and do screne shot updates twice a week. I can get employment veification letters online from an automated system at work. I do that every Monday and Friday. We are ready to pounce. She must take a group taxi and a bus to get to her medical exam l, she already has the schedule and douboe checks it every week online. I am going to get her when time comes. I talked with management and they said give us a weeks notice and we are good with it.

Now would i yes. Because we know as soon as the visa issued we are getting married we do jot need six months from time Visa is issued. Two months is plenty for us.

As soon as we get the notice my Fiancee will have the DS-160 completed and medical exam scheduled in 24 hrs. Unless of course it is a holiday or weekend and she cannot locate anyone at the medical facility. She will a police certificate and get her NBI from the Filipino Consulate on the way to the medical exam.
