My now wife believes she left that approval form back in China the beginning of May, we see that its on the checklist for filing the AOS papers and basically are ready to mail. Can I fill out another one online with all that info that was on the original or does she need a stamped version ? If it is needed how do I go about getting another one.

Thanks in advance !

Folks asking questions should be more precise.

Based on your title and description you are seeking a copy of the I-129F form?

But based on this checklist, you don't need I-129F.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

If anything, it says you need NOA2, but this is NOT something you fill out,

but rather you received it from USCIS.

I think you are confused on something...please clarify.

Thanks for the info, yes I meant the 129 and yes I meant the approval one. Seems she did some research on a Chinese visa forum and was told it wasn't needed either. I gotta love her for wanting to be thorough though. Thanks again for the help !

Did you mean this?: http://www.visajourney.com/gallery/albums/Immigration/I-129F-NOAs/NOA2.jpg

The I-129f approval or what we call here in VJ as NOA2 is mailed to the petitioner by uscis. A copy of this is what is needed for the AOS and it is not anything received by the beneficiary at her home country.

Yep, that's the form Im talking about. I got it and then took it to China before she had her interview so she had it there. I will have to check with her and see but that's the one I think she left in China for some reason.

I see. You only need a copy of that, so if you guys can ask anybody in her family in China to scan and email it to you, that would be good enough.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but we did not make a copy of the NOA needed to file AOS.

Dumb mistake. How do we get a copy of it.?

You should have made a copy. :bonk: Some folks have been able to get by with submission of the email confirmation of their visa petition approval. Do a forum search using the VJ Google custom search function for details. The other option is to fill out and file a Form I-824, and get out your checkbook.

http://www.uscis.gov/i-824

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
