K1 - Translation

Hello everyone!

We are still diligently plugging away at gathering information for the I-129 visa. I have a question on the forms that I am hoping someone can help me with.

My fiance A doesn't speak English yet, and some forms need to be submitted in English. I am a licensed Spanish teacher and can translate his papers into English. I found the form below on visajourney. I am planning for him to write in Spanish (I'll probably type them as he dictates) and then to translate them to English, then have him sign both copies. Questions:

1) Is it okay for me to translate, being his fiancee?
2) Is there anything I need to submit besides the form below and perhaps a copy of my Spanish educator's license?

I filled out all of the forms/letters of intent for my Albanian fiancée and petition was approved. Good luck.

I filled out all my fiancee's forms for him and he was approved no problem! I think they understand that speaking English and reading English are 2 different things. They just want the forms filled out and done correctly to save them time and effort!

Please do not get yourself deeper into paperwork than you have to.

99.9% of people on here fill out all of the forms for their foreign fiance's and have them just sign it. That is what i did and that's what everyone is doing.

What i did:

1. Asked my fiance to scan in her travel passport and take a page and type up all of her personal info. (birthday, birthplace, address, mom and dads name, etc..)

2. She emailed me all of the mentioned above

3. I filled out G-325A and fiance letter of intent for her and emailed it back to her

4. She printed it out, signed and dated it and mailed it to me to the States and included a passport photo.

That's it!

But if you do want to do it your way YES it is ok to do your own translation. I researched that myself and i did my own translation and i don't have a degree or anything like that in English. After translating i added the same lines you have there in blue, went to my bank where they notarized it for me and signed it in front of them.
