My fiancee and I have been waiting through this whole process very patiently and are so close to the end of it. I had a couple of questions and about the letter and I have looked around on this website to find the answer, but I want to be sure on this.

Currently we are waiting on the interview letter for the K-1 visa from Juarez. We have our case number, invoice number, DS-160 is filled out with confirmation page and have paid the fee to go along with it. We we went ahead scheduled the interview through the website as well as the ASC biometrics. The problem is that the consulate gives us different stories on the letter and if it has been sent out. We are very concerned that we will not receive the letter. We have asked if the letter has been sent out and one person at the consulate has said that the letter was sent out September 2 and another that I just got off the phone today says that no letter has been sent and there is no date to when it will be sent out. Also, he said that it may take 5 weeks before the letter is sent out. I asked if I would receive the letter as well and his reply was that only the beneficiary would receive the letter and not me in the states. I have found through different threads on this website that I can get the letter printed out at the Information window at the consulate. I want to know for sure if I can do this. They have our information in the system so thats a good thing for me so far. I don't want us to show up at the information window and be told that the letter cannot be printed out here and you need to wait for it. Has anyone done this and been successful. I asked about this over the phone and they say they can't print one out for us. Thanks for the help and sorry for the long post. I just want to be sure on this.

Hola!!!!

I scheduled my appointment before we got the letter, They told us it was sent out August 19th and I scheduled my interview for Sept 12th. I never received the letter in Mexico (I am still thinking it will arrive anytime soon) . I decided to book my flight to Juarez some days in advance to try to get the letter in case I didnt have it by that point, However and Thank God my fiancé received the letter Sept 5 and it was dated Sept 20th. So it took 16 days. When I called the consulate they confirmed letter are always sent out to both the petitioner in the US and beneficiary in Mexico.

I have read that it is possible to get the letter at the invitation window, but I couldn't confirm it because I already had the letter.

I posted a consulate review on this website too, I hope its helpful :)

I wanted to give an update on the situation for those that are going through the same problems as us. Yes you can get the letter printed at the information window. You go to the consulate early in the morning say about 6:30 a.m. so you can be on of the first people in line, there were about 7 people in front of her by the time we go there. Tell the guard you need to go to the information window and he/she will direct you to the line for the information window. The window opens at about 7:30 a.m. Once you get to the window tell them you need the interview letter to show for the finger prints and Medical analysis and basically they will print it for you without any problems. On the CEAC website the status was on ready on September 2 and we scheduled the interview for September 24. We called the consulate on various occasions and never got a straight answer on the letter, so we went ahead and booked the trip for the interview and everything turned out fine. Visa has been approved and issued. We are still waiting on the waybill number that doesn't want to show up for us. Wish there was another way to find out, looks like we will be here till Tuesday waiting for it.

Great information!!

And it is really cool this is possible because the letter takes a long time to arrive to the beneficiary's address in Mexico, I had my interview on Sept. 12 and my letter arrived until Sept. 17, about a month after it was sent out.
