Good evening my lovelies,

I have a few questions relating to the AOS and AP forms specifically that I was hoping to clear up so I can get myself organnised and on top of everything before departing for the US next week ahead of my marriage.

AOS

1. Is it still highly advisable to get the DS 3025 vaccinaton history transcribed to an I-693 to include int he AOS package - would only cost me $30 at a practice in Santa Ana by the sound of it, so. . .

2.With regard to the Affidavit of Support included int he AOS package, am I required to include the supporting evidence that accompanies the affidavit, or do I just include the affidavit on its own?

3.The instructions for evidence asks that we include "a copy of your fiance petition approval notice".
We never received our NOA2, even after requesting it be resent as the first letter never arrived. Would I be ok to include an email response from the USCIS that states our petition was approved, and on what date it was approved or should I really try and get hold of the NOA2 once again?

AP

4. The AP form requests "a copy of any document issued by the USCIS showing your present status, if any, in the US". I'm unsure as to what this could/would be -- if someone could shed some light on this for me that would be great.

5. On a side note. When I arrive at US immigration and hand over my BBE (the envelope is actually white, but still. . . ) do I also give them the CD of my chest X-ray that I received with vaccinations history after the medical?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm in a bit of a pickle.

Cheers,

Mark

AOS

1. yes I would get that transcribed for the I-163 and make a copy of it.

2. yes, the affidavit of support for AOS will require supporting documents - last 3 years tax returns

3. yes a copy of the NOA2 is required - I would try to get a copy of it again.

AP

1. you will include a copy of your I-94 that you are issued when you enter the country (you will go on line and get this after you are here) and a copy of your passport with the k1 visa in it

Thank you for your congratulations and answers to my questions. I'm going to get on to the USCIS again and hope I can get a copy of my NOA2 without having to fork out more money for it.

I forgot to add a question about the Alien Registration Number/A#:

A couple of the forms ask for the A# (if any). Am I correct in thinking I won't actually have an Alien Registration Number until I'm issued with a greencard, or am I mistaken? It's not the same as the Visa number in my passport, right?

Of course you need to supply what is required by the I-864, and all other forms you are sending. The I-864 needs the most recent tax transcript, not all 3 years need to be submitted. You also need proof of current income and letter from employer and/or recent pay stubs work well for most people.

What you need for the I-131 and I-765 > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/472439-evidence-for-756-and-131/?p=6723671

AOS without NOA2 > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/323385-filing-for-aos-with-lost-noa2/

Yes, you already have an A#. It starts with an A, most likely followed by 9 digits. http://www.uscis.gov/tools/glossary/number

The A# is found on the NOA2 approval notice for the I-129F near the beneficiary's name. You may need to call and find out what your A# is, since you never received the NOA2.

Thank you, Kay.

That NOA2 thread has really put my mind at ease especially. I'm good with all the required evidence now, but thank you all the same.

Funnily enough though, I do have two further questions. On the Affidavit (I-864) in Section 5. it asks iyou to tally up the umber of persons in the sponsor's household. If the form is filled in once we are married I see no way of this section not tallying 3 as a '1' should be entered for numbers 1, 2, and 3 respectively. It doesn't make sense.

Of course, we can fill the form out before we marry -- thus meaning I wouldn't enter a 1 for number 3 of section 5 -- but then that would mean the Affidavit would be sent stating we are not married, whereas the AOS would contradict this...

Can anyone shed any light on this for me please. it's quite confusing

It says don't count anybody twice. So if you are the immigrant, then don't put a number by spouse because you would be counted twice.

The form is for many situations. What if someday you sponsor your British mum? Mum is immigrant and your spouse is counted on the spouse line.

It states in all caps and underlined not to count anyone twice. It also says that Part 5 #1 is the only line for tallying up the persons being sponsored in that affidavit. For #2 and beyond it states, 'Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit:' Your spouse is the person being sponsored and is counted in line #1. They are not counted again under spouse/persons not being sponsored.
