Hey everyone! I have a question. My father got in a motorcycle accident last week and I am very worried about him. My husband and I would like to expedite my case to go back home and help him. He is single, and all my brothers are too little to take care of him. Am I able to expedite my case? Do I need some kind of proof to expedite?

Hello Vivian,

Write a letter to NVCExpedite@state.gov explaining your situation. Scan and attach PDFs of any proof you have (ex. medical note, ER note, etc).

On the subject line of the email write: URGENT. EXPEDITE NEEDED. CASE #.....

In the email you should also include Case #, beneficiary name n date of birth, petitioner name n date of birth. And provide 2 local phone numbers where the beneficiary can be reached.

The NVC will forward this to the embassy, and email you saying your request is under review. Then, the embassy (depending on their work load) will email the NVC with an answer. When the NVC gets an answer, then they will email you with the answer.

Good luck!

you can try but it looks like you already sent all your documents to the NVC. They won't sort through the mail looking for a package. If the expedite gets approved, you will have to take another set of originals to the interview. The NVC expedite is up to the embassy, not the NVC. NVC will submit your request and then you have to wait for the embassy to respond.

Make sure you give them 2 phone numbers to contact the beneficiary. They will contact the beneficiary of it gets expedited.
