So it's not gonna be easy.

It's going to be really hard;

we're gonna have to work at this everyday,

but I want to do that because I want you.

I want all of you, forever, everyday.

You and me.. everyday.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I had U.S. Individual Income Text Return, form 1040. And you do not need their birth certificates.

No IRS and W2 are two different things.

The IRS is a couple pages for each year but the W2 is like one page I think.

I don't have the co-sponsor's birthcertiicate or employer letter (got lost by UPS), so she will send me a scan of it. I can let you know if they asked for it if you want. My interview is tuesday

No, I'm going through the one in Brussels.

Idk how to get them. Both sponsors knew how to get the documents. I just gave them the list of what was needed...

I've been trying to find the page back but on VJ a person had written their whole package including all they had with their I-134.

They need a proof that the sponsor and co-sponsor are UScitizens

They need a proof that the sponsor and co-sponsor are UScitizens

Of course sponsor (petitioner) is US citizen, otherwise he could not be able to fill out petition for K1 visa, there is no need to prove citizenship, they checked petitioner 100 times by now.

But they don't have those infos about the co-sponsor. That's probably why it's good to have their birth certificate as well :)

We just had our interview in Latvia(I am petitioner, attended for my wife's interview). On our interview form the "Petitioner's Original Birth Certificate" was marked as not asked for by NVC. We brought it just in case - they never asked for it, or really anything else for that matter.

As far as the employment letter, it looks fine. Ideally it would be on company letterhead, which I can't tell from your picture, but I doubt it's an issue if it's not.

I feel like being prepared for your interview beyond the minimum they ask for sounds like being over-prepared (but still good to do). Since my wife encountered some issues with her U.S. travel and had had a new passport since then, they asked if she had that passport, and asked for it just to double-check that she never overstayed, so if you have one with U.S. travel you may want to bring it just in case. If you check my post history you can probably find the post I did of all the questions they asked.

If you are able, I would try to schedule a day free from work/school/anything after your interview. After we were approved we had this surreal, what the heck do we do now, and super lazy feeling as all the worrying for months washed away.

04/14/12 - First date in the U.S.

02/26/13 - Married

06/3/13 - Petition Filed (had been unsuccessfully trying to move to Europe)

06/6/13 - NOA1 (National Benefits Center)

12/19/13 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

03/3/14 - I130 Approved

03/18/14 - NVC Received file from USCIS

04/28/14 - Received/Paid AOS Bill

05/01/14 - Received/Paid IV Bill

05/14/14 - Sent AOS Package

05/30/14 - Sent IV Package

06/05/14 - Submitted DS-260

06/19/14 - Received checklist for AOS, resubmitted required corrections

08/09/14 - Case completed at NVC

08/14/14 - Received Interview Date

09/08/14 - Interview date - Approved!

09/11/14 - Raced into town, threw car into a parking spot, and ran down city streets to get to the courier company 2 minutes before the close to get passport back

10/10/14 - POE Entry
