A 14-year-old boy from Everett, Pa., was arrested after mimicking oral sex with a statue of Jesus. He now faces up to two years in jail.

Back in July, the unidentified minor posted photographs of himself with a statue of Jesus at the Everett branch of the “Love in the Name of Christ” church ... One of the many poses included the kid’s crotch being planted in the statue’s face, mimicking #######.

That image somehow made its way to the local district attorney’s office, which then forwarded them to Pennsylvania state police, who in turn arrested the boy after an investigation of sorts.

The criminal charge: “Desecration of a Venerated Object.”

That charge is based on a law from 1927, which describes the crime as “Defacing, damaging, polluting or otherwise, physically mistreating in a way that the actor knows will outrage the sensibilities of persons likely to observe or discover the action.”

His case will be heard in juvenile court. If convicted, the boy will reportedly face up to two years in juvenile jail.

Put the kid in leather and run the picture though a posterize filter you can hang it on a wall and call it art - maybe talk about how it represents the current youth apathy.

This is the kind of headline that has me check the source. I'd expect the onion, dailycurrant or somesuch because, surely, in this country one does not get charged with a crime for playing with a statue. Holy #######. The American Taliban is taking over. Repent!

Indeed one would think some kind of blasphemy crime was being cited, and really, in this day and age making fun of a jesus statue shouldn't be any kind of a crime.

oh, and the boy is 14. Boys of 14 do things like this, always have, so what?

Men do this well into their 20s.
