Oh wow I'm going on 8months and it's very frustrating for me so I can't even imagine..

Is there anything you think about your application to why it is taking so long I am trying to find a common link to the people that are waiting extra long

Hello my VJ family and big up to all my yardies...anyway my petition is going on 10 mths. I've put in several e-request and was told that it is pending security checks. Now keep in mind that I have no criminal record and according to my husband neither does he, so what the hell is taking so long. Anyway, my next step was to notify my Senator, whom was very responsive to me.

This is what was emailed to me from my Senator's Office:

We spoke with the background Supervisor regarding Ms. Xxxxxxxxxx petition. The Supervisor informed me that Ms. Xxxxxxxxxx petition will be pulled from the holding shelf and assigned to a background check officer for priority review. Once the background check review process has been completed, Ms. Xxxxxxxxxx petition will then be sent to an adjudication officer for final review.

If your constituent has not received a notice of action or any other information within 21 business days from the date of this message, please contact us for an update.

Now can anyone explain to me why my petition is on a holding shelf?

That's crazy to hear that it was basically put to the side I have no clue why it was in a holding shelf I don't even understand why they would just dash it to the side and have you waiting for 10 months.. But please let me know what the final decision is on your case, I have contacted my senator and I'm waiting to see what my response is from them..
