So in my passport my name has 2 last names and 1 given name while in my marriage certificate where it states my maiden name, my maiden name is stated as 1 given name 1 middle name and 1 last name...

is that going to be a problem for my green card??? will they think that this is not my marriage certificate because of the middle last name issue???

please help :/ do i have to do a new marriage certificate or should it be fine?

I'm not sure how big of a deal, if any, this would be. But if they do have your name incorrect, you can always get a corrected certificate. Even if it turns out not to be an issue to USCIS, it may be an issue when you have to use it for something else in the future. The replacement should be free if it was their mistake.

What's on your birth certificate says about your name? You should follow that because when you file I-485 they will ask your birth certificate to match all information. I believe you should back to the courthouse, tell the the issued you have and get them corrected your marriage certificate. While a marriage certificate as a proof of name change but it is not automatically will changed your name on green card unless you wished it.

A small example. I asked my EIN through IRS and when I put my married name there, it says does not match with their records even though I already have my EAD card. The reason why because I do not changed my maiden name into the married one on SSN yet. My point is, all papers should be matched otherwise you would probably facing a problem in the future.

the woman advised me but i was sure i had one middle and one last name, so she just let it like that, cause i filled the application online.. so she did told me in my passport was different but i did not believed cause it was so fast and i could not understand that i actually have two last names since I never heard about it before :/

In my birth certificate it only says my complete name very big , you can't tell if i have two last names or one middle and one last, cause is all together with no separation

what should i do lol? i dont wanna get another marriage certificate, takes too long... :(( need help

I'm sorry, but this last post confused me. Did she tell you that the MC was not incorrect? I'm not sure how it works in CA, but I would assume it's very similar to NY.

You apply for a marriage license, here you can do it online as well. They give you an opportunity to verify that the info is correct at least twice. Then you get married and get the actual certificate. Again you are given the opportunity to verify everything is correct.

So when exactly did you notice that the info was incorrect? They should have a process for correcting or amending the certificate if the info is incorrect, but I'm not sure how it would work if it wasn't their mistake.
