Do we really need these essays?

I get it. When someone posts BS you expect no one to post a detailed explanation why the BS is wrong. That's how you get everyone to believe the BS. And then you mock them for posting the detailed explanation why the BS is wrong. But, there is only one problem with that. I don't care.

That's not what you are doing. You are copying and pasting propaganda from your favorite websites on block. Even if someone was interested in a detailed critique, and most people really aren't, what you provide isn't that. Carry on as you like, but seriously, if you actually want people to read stuff you write, use your own words and keep it to the point. You can of course reference other articles and provide links, but these caerphillies are just nonsensical.

I've used my own words in the past. People are either forgetful or didn't read it then. I don't have the time to repeat myself for that(like you said, most people aren't interested anyway so why waste my time). It doesn't matter to someone actually seeking the truth if I'm writing it myself this time or posting something else I obviously condone.

But people here seem to think they are in an episode of the Kardashians. They want to be dumbed down, too much info for them is not good. Then maybe they should go watch the Kardashians instead of hanging out in this forum.

I want to thank Expat for pointing out yet again the famous Jewish conscience and morality in the tradition of "Tikkun Olam".
However, here is what Tuvia Tannenbaum has to say about it:
Tuvia Tannenbaum, or as he calls himself in his new book, "Toby The German" is a force of nature. Former Orthodox, who was born and raised in Bnei Brak, and one day, after an intense investigation that revealed to him that God is not in a Yeshiva, dropped everything and immigrated to the United States. "I Had $400 in my pocket," he says, "and since my parents did not allow me to go to university in the country , I just took myself and went. "for fifteen years he studied a variety of subjects in various universities, finally found his place in the world - man of the theater, playwright, and journalist of international renown, who spends his time between new York and Hamburg. Recently he added a new addition to occupations - writer.
And not just any writer. His Penultimate book, "I sleep in the room of Hitler" has become overnight a huge bestseller in Germany, and spent four months at the top of the bestseller list of "Der Spiegel". The book tells of his journey through Germany, and his encounters with characters from all walks of social and cultural life. Sad and frightening conclusions - anti-Semitism, which we were hoping was a thing of the past in Europe, has not gone anywhere. It's just rebranded. From now on - Do not say Jew, say Israeli. This is all the difference.
His new book, "Catch the Jew," engaged in the phenomenon of anti-Semitism, but this time on the part of Israel. For six months traveling in our little country disguised as a Christian German journalist, and spoke to the guys from across the political spectrum, including Rajoub, Ayelet Shaked, Hanan Ashrawi, Michael Ben Ari, Danny Rahav, Ahmed Tibi, Amos Oz, Moshe Feiglin and many more. The Conclusions are even scarier than his German book, and outline a kind of unimaginable nightmare world where European anti-Semitism, Arab nationalism, and Jewish self-hatred, striving deep under the foundations of the Jewish state.
Are you saying that anti-Semitism never went anywhere, all that has changed is that the word "Jew" was replaced by the word "Israeli". Where is humanism? Where are the lessons of World War II and the Holocaust? Humanity has not learned anything?
"Unfortunately, reality slapped me in the face. I too want human rights. Me too. I also want all those beautiful and good things. I am just very realistic. I'm realistic., I do not live here, I was born here, but I do not live here. I am not in any box, you know? Not in the right box, not in the left box, not in the center box. I was in them, I left them because none of them seemed right. The book represents what I went through, what I saw, my conversations with people ".
What did you find?
"Unfortunately, what I found in those called humanists, those who so called deal with human rights, those whose sole purpose is to advocate for Israel how to behave and paint her as a criminal, is that they do not even think about it, it is not in their mind. They are motivated by something bigger than them, it's to their credit. They are motivated by the prevailing thought in Europe today that dominates today's Europe, that the Jew is a fraud, liar, thief, murderer, whatever you want. When I moved from Germany to here, and I asked people known as supporters of Israel, for example, one German, I will not say his name, off the record, from the press .. I told him to give me a way of thinking, about what to look at., he told me, you try to find out why.
I remember from the book - why the Jews did not consider anyone else
'Yes,' Why Jews only care about themselves. That was said by a pro-Israel person. You have no idea what is happening today, what is happening today in the world is scary., I write for a newspaper Die Zeit, a major newspaper, intellectual newspaper, and I look sometimes at the comments. Listen, it's scary. For example I had one picture I was at the Dead Sea on the Jordanian side, in the water, then one talkback writes to me: 'jew, hey jew - go down a few more inches into the water, and we'll finish you.' who reads this paper? intellectuals. The anti Semitic things I sometimes read in comments are scary and it's on the elite. What's happening in the world today, and the Jews share this, is simple. Anti Semitism ran wild during World War II. Jews were slaughtered, not only Jews, but especially Jews, one-third of the Jewish people went., and suddenly you think that the whole world will change? Germany lost the war, that's all that happened. "
In the Book, you have a huge criticism on Europe, especially countries such as Germany and Switzerland. You write that they interfere in what is happening in Israel, primarily from a combination of anti-Semitism and a sense of superiority
"I write to a lot of Europeans, I come from a whole different perspective on the conflict than that is familiar., I come, and I say, you Europeans, and in fact I include myself in that I live in Europe, we are, we're pigs, we're mad, we're full of hate, is what I am saying to them., we supremacist, with all our human rights, we know better than anyone else, think that only we have a culture, we do not understand the cultures of others. Go to the Middle East and destroy it. What is this bullshit? Why do we intervene in any Muslim dispute? we brought about Isis, we did. All the time, all the time what we have in mind is going to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. What are we crazy? It's a huge world.
It seems that what worries Tuvya the most, even more than European and Arab anti-Semitism, is turning a blind eye of the Israeli Jews. He believes Israel does not really want to know the size of the phenomenon, not really want to look at the big shadow hovering over it. Conversations with radical leftists such as Gideon Levy, Udi Olney, and Jonathan Shapiro, and seeing how many Israeli enterprises, funded by the Europeans, are busy demonizing Israel, is causing him to be very pessimistic. Israelis you meet share your worldview?
"Look, I'm talking to people on the left, I know them personally, some of them are my friends. I Do not have anything against the left., But it hurts me that they are walking in the dark. Incidentally, also on the right I have complaints: When you ask a rightist why is it your right to be here he says - "God's promise." what is God's promise? When you ask an American what is your right to be here, in America, he says - what do you mean, I live here. Ask a German why is he in Germany - cause this is my country. I was born here and if I wasn't then I moved here, even then, I became a citizen, and this is my country. Jewish get tangled up with himself, even right-wingers - I'm here because I got a divine promise three thousand years ago. That interests my great great grandmother divine promise. Why should that interest people who don't believe in the bible? What does it have to do with people who aren't Jewish? What is it called divine promise? Why can't a Jew say - "I'm here because I'm here?" What is there to be ashamed of? Is there a country in the world that has never killed? There is one country in the world which is truly honest? There is such a thing? Sorry, there is such a thing? What did Norway do during World War II that is so interested in human rights all of a sudden? Sent its Jews to the slaughter.
"It also appears in ...
"It also appears in the book. Who was righteous, who was righteous and honest?"
So why are we treated so harshly by Europe?
"Anti-Semitism! If Jews were not helping them, the situation would be much better. There are a lot of Jews who help them., I see how many Jews in Germany, helping them, I see a number of Jews in Israel are helping them, what they're crazy? The Film on Bil'in's crazy, crazy" .
Five Broken Cameras?
"Yes. That is just crazy. They censor everything there: The Imam shouting Allah is with you! Kill them! The Entire ceremony of stone-throwing, and all the dignitaries sitting on the sidelines and taking pictures. Madness. And who pays for it? The Germans".
One section of the book presents a scene of a man who was hospitalized in Israel after he was wounded in the Syrian civil war. He lies in bed, with a huge hole in the stomach, in great agony, and surrounded by journalists and photographers who want to know what he thinks of Israel. None of them look at him as a person. None of them look at the situation as a human situation. Tennenbaum held his hand, and the injured boy starts crying and asks everyone to go except for Tennenbaum. Anyone who reads that scene can say to himself - that's all I want, I want people who look and see other people. But it seems that the world does not work in this standard, it seems that we are constantly at war that blinds us from seeing each other.
I'll ask you a question you must get asked by many - what do you do?
Listen, when I speak, for example, with people from human rights organizations, really talk to them, about anti-Semitism, all things .. I noticed that when you look at the person at eye level, not from above, not from below, they listen to you. Not from above as the right, not from beneath as the left, and not as the center - which does not even look. You look at a person and tell him - "Excuse me, but you're sick", in many cases it works. Not always. There is a disease here, there is a problem, there is a problem of self-hatred, there is a problem of anti-Semitism. I tell people - "Open your eyes," I'm not saying this out of hate. In general, you know, I have no hatred for Arabs. I learned Arabic, studied the Koran. Why have I learned? Because I love it, I love this culture.
You like this culture?
"Yes. I'm crazy about Muslim culture. It is a very interesting culture, I like their pride, their esprit de corps, I love it., I do not like this Jewish disease, always repent - we sinned, we betrayed. The Biggest leftist is basically the same as those who shout on Yom Kippur - "We sinned, we betrayed." What is this madness? Jews have a problem, and this is a problem they have to get out of. The diaspora was not yet released from the Jews. What I think, what I want, if you ask me as a person, not as a journalist and all that, is that people will look at the facts, and start to think for themselves. "

"The Europeans aren't really familiar with the Middle East dispute and they did not do an investigation. They are coming out of every hole here. They don't want to help, but rather to catch the Jew doing something bad. It comes from hatred," claims Tuvia Tenenbaum. "I didn't lie in this case when I presented myself as a German journalist - I wanted to know what these people think. Even if there had been a conspiracy and it had been the only way to expose the truth, I would have done it, he added.

From the beginning, "Toby" joined a group of young Italians who learned about the dispute in Schchem (Nablus) and in Israel, with funding from the European Union. But the Israeli guide, Itamar Shapira - the brother of the pilot Jonathan Shapira who refused orders and became an extreme Leftist activist - presented himself to the group as "former Jew" and said harsh things against Israel.

During a tour of Yad Vashem, Shapira chose to focus specifically on stories of the massacre at Dir Yassin [theJenin lie of the 1948 War of Independence. CiJ] and told the young Italians that it's necessary to impose a boycott and sanctions on Israel because "we have to stop an additional Holocaust." Shapira was fired in the past from Yad Vashem after he compared the Holocaust to the Naqba [the Palestinian characterization of the creation of the State of Israel as a catastrophe. CiJ], but today he leads private groups there.

The Palestinian guide who accompanied the group was Ataf Abu Rob, a Palestinian journalist and investigator forB'Tselem who is responsible for several stories published by the [extreme Leftist Haaretz] journalist Gideon Levy. Abu Rob told "Toby" that the Holocaust is "a lie. I don't believe it."

The senior Fatah commander Jibril Rajob also opened his door after he heard about the book that "Toby" planned to publish and told him: "Israel is racist and fascist, it will be isolated like South Africa." Rajoub's close confidantes whispered to Tenenbaum "We are all German, but the only problem is that that we know that General Rommel did not succeed in coming here."

Tenenbaum's book Catch the Jew will be published this week, and he will then not be accepted as a prodigal son in the Palestinian Authority once his cover is blown.

Yad Vashem reacted: "Yad Vashem is careful that the subject of the Holocaust will be presented in detachment from any political agenda. Itamar Shapira was employed in the past as a guide in Yad Vashem and was not careful about these norms, and therefore it was decided about five years ago to terminate him [after he had worked there for three and a half years! CiJ]. Today, we allow outside guides, but we are considering changing this policy."

From B'Tselem the following reaction was received: "B'Tselem condemns any expression of anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial. The matter will be clarified with the investigator with the full necessary seriousness." Journalist Gideon Levy added: "I traveled to the territories a number of times over the course of the years with Atef Abu Rob. I never conducted political discussions with him and I am not aware of his views. I very much hope that Holocaust denial is not one of them.

Funny, this is happening just as everyone is trying to convince us that the "tides are turning". They have been claiming that for decades. Nothing new under the sun.

WASHINGTON - After first expressing their support for Israel during Operation Protective Edge, members of the film industry posted an additional ad Saturday in the New York Times which included 300 of Hollywood's most prominent figures expressing their "commitment to peace and justice."

The stars have already planned their next target, setting their sights on Europe, particularly Germany and the city of London, where many they feel cultural figures operate against Israel.

Also, maybe in Saudi it's different, but in democratic countries such as Israel, in Op-ed, you get all kinds of opinions from all over the political spectrum. Another failed, pathetic attempt at smearing.

For two left-wing groups, B'Tselem – The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories and Yesh Din – Volunteers for Human Rights, the probes to be conducted by the Israel Defense Forces will not do.

And they are already preparing excuses to cooperate with the commission of inquiry set up by UN Human Rights Council, with its findings already a foregone conclusion, and with William Schabas appointed to deliver the goods. According to Yesh Din attorney Michael Sfard, the IDF investigations do not meet the necessary international standards.

I asked the spokeswoman for Yesh Din for information about investigations conducted by countries such as the United States and Britain, which Israel would do well to follow. After all, there have been an endless number of reports pertaining to war crimes on the part of both countries.

I received a vague response to the effect that Sfard was not referring to Britain and the US. Then who was he referring to? After all, these are the two Western countries that over the past decade have been more involved in wars, in Iraq and Afghanistan, than any others.

A review of how other countries act in such circumstances is therefore a worthy exercise.

In September 2003, British soldiers were accused of sadistically abusing prisoners in Basra, Iraq. They were tried. Nine soldiers were acquitted of all charges; and just one was found guilty of "inhumane conduct" and was jailed for one year.

In another incident, in 2005, US Marines forces were charged with killing 24 civilians, including women and children, in Haditha, Iraq. Following lengthy legal proceedings, just one soldier was convicted of a marginal offense. None of them served jail time. And one can go on. There are more stories of this kind.

In some cases, the prosecution was in possession of video evidence – for example, the Collateral Damage video clip, leaked by Bradley Manning, who was jailed for 35 years for passing on hundreds of thousands of classified documents to the WikiLeaks Web site. The perpetrators, Cobra helicopter pilots, walked away unscathed and free of indictments.

Do civilized countries tend to show leniency towards soldiers who commit irregular acts or even war crimes? It appears so. Aside from instances of malicious murder, one would be hard pressed to find American or British soldiers who have paid a high price for anomalies during war time.

Even the brutal torturing and subsequent death of an Afghan detainee, known as Dilawar of Yakubi, resulted in ludicrous jail terms of just two and three months.

Attorney Sfard's claim was that Israel operates differently to other civilized countries. He's right. Israel adopts a far more stringent approach than the British and Americans. But to hell with the facts. The propaganda machine will continue to churn out baseless claims.

Is Anti-Zionism also anti-Semitism? Let's check. While the recent war raged, the medical journal, The Lancet, published an open letter against Israel's alleged war crimes – another example of academics being recruited into the Hamas propaganda machine.

Two of the people behind the initiative were Dr. Paola Manduca and Dr. Swee Ang. Concurrent with the letter came an additional petition, claiming acts of slaughter, published by Israeli academics, among them members of the nomadic band of every anti-Israeli petition, like Shlomo Sand, Yehouda Shenhav, Anat Matar, Udi Adiv and Adi Ophir – good souls.

On the other side of the political map, the racist-anti-Semitic right, one finds American David Duke. The Protocols of the Elders of Zion appears amateurish in comparison to the dark plots he attributes to the Jews.

In late 2013, Duke was expelled from Italy following an attempt to set up an all-European neo-Nazi movement. As part of his smear campaign, Duke released a horror film, CNN, Goldman Sachs & the Zio Matrix, about the threat of world domination posed by Zionism.

What's interesting is the fact, as revealed by NGO Monitor, that both Manduca and Ang, from the Lancet letter, spoke highly of Duke's film and warmly recommended it – at the same time they were launching their anti-Israel initiative.

Manduca wrote: "See this video before it is removed from circulation – Please do pass on to others who you think would be interested and would pass on. The whole world needs to know." Hurry, hurry, because the Zionists may take the video down. They control the global media after all. Their control is so absolute, so much so that the anti-Semitic video still remains on YouTube.

The radical left and extreme right are divided on numerous issues. Yet when it comes to one particular issue, they are remarkably united – hatred for Israel and support for Hamas. Some would call it anti-Zionism. Its true name, unmasked, is anti-Semitism.

* * *

The New York Times ran an investigative report about research institutions that receive funding from foreign governments. These investments pay off. Instead of hiring lobbyists, they are paying researchers. And the documented findings, with their academic flavor, arrive as background papers on the desks of senior government officials. It is forbidden, we are told, to single out individuals. One must, therefore, single out the backers.

Qatar, for example, which finances Hamas and other Jihadi organizations, has undertaken to donate $14 million to the prestigious Brookings Institution. One of the studies to be conducted will deal with the relations between the United States and the Arab world. Is there any chance that the research will also deal with Qatar's funding of Jihad and terrorism?

The investigative report forgot to mention a far greater problem – donations to universities. One of the largest donations of this kind, some $20 million, is credited to Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, and went to the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, founded by Prof. John Esposito, at Georgetown University.

Esposito hasn't stopped repaying the kindness. His research on the Muslim world is a mixture of sycophancy and whitewashing. Bin Talal donates generous sums to other institutions too. The Islamic Studies Program at Harvard University also bears his name.

Esposito recently signed a letter in support of an absolute academic boycott on Israel. The signatories, more than 100 members of the academe, make it clear that they will not retract their position until Israel, among other things, "respects, protects and promotes the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties."

In other words, they will not rest until Israel declares its own demise. Also among the signatories are Ilan Pappe, Eyal Sivan and Ariella Azoulay. One can always find Israelis to join the party.

Just to clarify matters, there is no such thing as "the right of return" in international law – and UN Resolution 194, on which they base their argument, makes no mention of it either.

To the contrary, the European Court of Human Rights, the most important in the world perhaps, rejected a demand for compensation and repatriation filed by Greeks who were expelled from the Turkish part of Cyprus.

Tens of millions who suffered deportation and uprooting in the previous century in the framework of the establishment of new nation states were not afforded the right of return. But academics have never allowed themselves to be thrown off by the facts. And it's not happening only due to Bin Talal's big money, but due to him too.

I guess I'll have to do the job for you like I always do. This is just in regards to the first gulf war. Look up the second one yourself.

It is true that Israel viewed Iraq as a serious threat to its security given its leadership of the rejectionist camp. Israeli concerns proved justified after the war began and Iraq fired 39 Scud missiles at its civilian population centers. The Bush Administration had promised to prevent Iraq from attacking Israel, but the U.S. troops assigned to scour the desert for Scud missiles had poor intelligence and failed to destroy a single real missile (they did destroy several decoys) in nearly 2,500 missions (Jerusalem Post, January 30, 2003).

Israel has never asked American troops to fight its battles. Although Israeli forces were prepared to participate in the Gulf War, they did not because the United States asked them not to. Even after the provocation of the Scud missile attacks, Israel assented to U.S. appeals not to respond.

Israel Aids Allied War Effort

Israel was never expected to play a major role in hostilities in the Gulf. American officials knew the Arabs would not allow Israel to help defend them; they also knew U.S. troops would have to intervene because the Gulf states could not protect themselves.

Israel's posture reflected a deliberate political decision in response to American requests. Nevertheless, it did aid the United States' successful campaign to roll back Iraq's aggression. For example:
  • The IDF was the sole military force in the region that could successfully challenge the Iraqi army. That fact, which Saddam Hussein understood, was a deterrent to further Iraqi aggression.
  • By warning that it would take military measures if any Iraqi troops entered Jordan, Israel, in effect, guaranteed its neighbor's territorial integrity against Iraqi aggression.
  • The United States benefited from the use of Israeli-made Have Nap air-launched missiles on its B52 bombers. The Navy, meanwhile, used Israeli Pioneer pilotless drones for reconnaissance in the Gulf.
  • Israel provided mine plows that were used to clear paths for allied forces through Iraqi minefields.
  • Mobile bridges flown directly from Israel to Saudi Arabia were employed by the U.S. Marine Corps.
  • Israeli recommendations, based upon system performance observations, led to several software changes that made the Patriot a more capable missile defense system.
  • Israel Aircraft Industries developed conformal fuel tanks that enhanced the range of F15 aircraft. These were used in the Gulf.
  • General Dynamics has implemented a variety of Israeli modifications to improve the worldwide F16 aircraft fleet, including structural enhancements, software changes, increased capability landing gear, radio improvements and avionic modifications.
  • An Israeli-produced targeting system was used to increase the Cobra helicopter's night-fighting capabilities.
  • Israel manufactured the canister for the highly successful Tomahawk missile.
  • Night-vision goggles used by U.S. forces were supplied by Israel.
  • A low-altitude warning system produced and developed in Israel was utilized on Blackhawk helicopters.
  • Other Israeli equipment provided to U.S. forces included flack vests, gas masks and sandbags.
  • Israel offered the United States the use of military and hospital facilities. U.S. ships utilized Haifa port shipyard maintenance and support on their way to the Gulf.
  • Israel destroyed Iraq's nuclear reactor in 1981. Consequently, U.S. troops did not face a nuclear-armed Iraq.
  • Even in its low-profile mode, Israeli cooperation was extremely valuable: Israel's military intelligence had focused on Iraq much more carefully over the years than had the U.S. intelligence community. Thus, the Israelis were able to provide Washington with detailed tactical intelligence on Iraqi military activities. Defense Secretary Richard Cheney said, for example, that the U.S. utilized Israeli information about western Iraq in its search for Scud missile launchers (UPI, March 8, 1991).
  • Before, during and after the war, Israel also contributed intelligence to the United States.
  • Rafael designed the Litening Targeting Pods used to fire precision weapons from the Marines' AV-8B Harrier jets, as well as F-15s and F-16s. Limited use was also made of an Israeli helmet system that allows a pilot to more easily target the enemy without maneuvering the aircraft into attack position.

During a visit to Israel May 30, 1991, Defense Secretary Cheney said: "We think that the cooperation that we were able to engage in during the war in the Gulf...emphasizes how important the [u.S.-Israel] relationship is and how well it works when put to the test."

Critics have argued that the U.S. desire for Israel to maintain a low profile to facilitate holding the coalition of Arab states opposing Iraq together reflects a diminution of Israel's strategic value; however, Israel was never expected to play a major role in hostilities in the Gulf. American officials knew the Arabs would have to be prepared to defend themselves. Moreover, the fact that it was possible to build this U.S.-Arab coalition at the same time U.S.-Israel strategic relations are closer than ever, illustrates the two are not contradictory. The United States can continue to strengthen its ties with Israel without worrying about jeopardizing ties with the Arab states.

What is it you ask? How did the PLO feel about all of this? Here you go.

The PLO, Libya and Iraq were the only members who opposed an Arab League resolution calling for an Iraqi withdrawal from Kuwait. The intifada leadership sent a cable of congratulations to Saddam Hussein, describing the invasion of Kuwait as the first step toward the "liberation of Palestine" (Mideast Mirror, August 6, 1990).

PLO leader Yasir Arafat played a critical role in sabotaging an Arab summit meeting that was to have been convened in Saudi Arabia to deal with the invasion. Arafat, the New York Times observed (August 5, 1990), "diverted attention from the planned summit and helped capsize it" by showing up in Egypt with a "peace plan" devised by Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi.

According to an eyewitness account by Al-Ahram editor Ibrahim Nafei, Arafat worked hard to "water down" any anti-Iraq resolution at the August 1990 Arab League meeting in Cairo. Arafat "moved from delegation to delegation, hand in hand with Tariq Aziz, the Iraqi Foreign Minister, who was openly threatening some Gulf and other Arab delegates that Iraq would turn them upside down," Nafei wrote (Al-Ahram, August 12, 1990).

In Amman, Jordan, a PLO official warned that Palestinian fighters had arrived in Yemen. "We expect them to take suicidal operations against the American troops in Saudi Arabia if the Americans move against Iraq," he declared. "There are more than 50,000 Palestinian fighters" in both Kuwait and Iraq, he said, who "will defend the interests of Iraq" (UPI, August 10, 1990). Abul Abbas, a member of the PLO Executive Committee, threatened that "any American target will become vulnerable" should the United States attack Iraq (Reuters, September 4, 1990).

In Jenin, August 12, 1,000 Palestinians marched, shouting: "Saddam, you hero, attack Israel with chemical weapons" (Associated Press, August 12, 1990).

According to some sources, the PLO played an active role in facilitating Iraq's conquest of Kuwait. The logistical planning for the Iraqi invasion was at least partially based on intelligence supplied by PLO officials and supporters based in Kuwait. One Arab diplomat was quoted in the London Independent as saying that on arrival in Kuwait, Iraqi officials "went straight to their homes, picked them up and ordered them to go to work." The Iraqi Embassy had compiled its own list of key Kuwaiti personnel, said the diplomat, "but who helped them? Who were the skilled technicians who worked alongside the Kuwaitis and knew all this information?" he asked. "The Palestinians" (Jerusalem Post, August 8, 1990).

When the U.S. began massing troops in Saudi Arabia, Arafat called this a "new crusade" that "forebodes the gravest dangers and disasters for our Arab and Islamic nation." He also made clear his position on the conflict: "We can only be in the trench hostile to Zionism and its imperialist allies who are today mobilizing their tanks, planes, and all their advanced and sophisticated war machine against our Arab nation" (Sawt al-Sha'b, September 4, 1990).

Once the war began, the PLO Executive Committee reaffirmed its support for Iraq: "The Palestinian people stand firmly by Iraq's side." The following day, Arafat sent a message to Saddam hailing Iraq's struggle against "American dictatorship" and describing Iraq as "the defender of the Arab nation, of Muslims and of free men everywhere" (Agence France-Presse, February 26, 1991).

Arafat's enthusiasm for Hussein was undaunted by the outcome of the war. "I would like to take this opportunity to renew to your excellency the great pride that we take in the ties of fraternity and common destiny binding us," he said in November 1991. "Let us work together until we achieve victory and regain liberated Jerusalem" (Baghdad Republic of Iraq Radio Network, November 16, 1991).

You're catching a lot of ####### for posting too much stuff.

The people complaining the most may disagree with your position, but that doesn't mean they're wrong about you posting too much stuff.

I"m sure Supplying night vision goggles was helpful but in the big picture it is insignificant.

All the little points you made add up but it doesn't strike me as an effective argument.

You might compare it to all the rockets the Palestinians fired at Israel in the last little dust up.

Lot's of them fired but very little damage.

I think I would argue that Israel would have loved to spearhead the attack on Iraq.

Unfortunately the spear was launched from Saudi Arabia, not generally considered best friends with Israel.

The US requested that Israel stay out of it in order to hold the coalition together.

Israel was such a good ally that they did not respond in kind when Saddam started hitting them with scuds.

I think that was Israel's biggest contribution to the gulf war.

And it did indeed prove them to be a good Ally.

That was one of the points in what I posted, too, but I think it's crucial to know all of them, not just one of them, even if in some views it's a major one. Alot of the Dolphin submarines Israel has actually been receiving from Germany - are due to the fact that Israel was asked to not respond to the Iraqi attacks and complied and in return was promised a large chunk of the cost of those dolphins would be covered. If you will, a "gift" from Germany for staying quiet.

And like I said, there is intelligence info, not just in the Iraqi wars but in general in the region for decades now Israel has been assisting other countries with intel, including against Isis now.

And then there's Israeli secret special forces and so on and so forth.

As for people's complaints here I disagree with you cause it always comes from the same group. I have not yet seen anyone that believes in those arguments, complain that there is too much posting. It always comes from the same folks that want to silent the other opinion. They only want their BS to be out there, just like the totalitarian regimes they tend to sympathize with. It all fits the larger trend. Nobody is allowed to speak but them.

But hell, my giveadamn's been busted pretty much since the day I was born.

I get it. When someone posts BS you expect no one to post a detailed explanation why the BS is wrong. That's how you get everyone to believe the BS. And then you mock them for posting the detailed explanation why the BS is wrong. But, there is only one problem with that. I don't care.

I don't think you do get it. You keep copying and pasting massive chunks of text from other sites - it's unnecessary. Form your own opinion and post quotes to support it, don't fill up the threads with garbage in the hope that somewhere in the 20,000 treatise is the one or two lines that support your position.

Imagine if everyone did that. Sheesh.

Funny, this is happening just as everyone is trying to convince us that the "tides are turning". They have been claiming that for decades. Nothing new under the sun.

Condemnation of ISRAELI policies by JEWISH Holocaust survivors tells a lot. Their condemnation can be added to condemnation by the Christians, Catholics, and Muslims that are spit on and dehumanized in ISRAELI cities.

You think two more pages of your garbage is going to bury the words of the Palestinian Christians publicly begging for support for their release from Israeli occupation?

http://rt.com/news/182472-israel-holocaust-gaza-war/

If you cannot listen to them you won't listen to anyone.

The letter also condemns politicians and opinion writers who have, the signatories say, openly called for the “genocide of Palestinians” in what they say is an “extreme, racist dehumanization of Palestinians in Israeli society.”

The survivors point to the death of more than 2,100 Palestinians in Israel’s campaign, many of whom are children and the bombing of UN shelters, homes, hospitals and universities. On the Israeli side, 68 people have been killed, mainly soldiers.

The letter concludes by calling the Gaza campaign “genocide of Palestinian people” and demands an end to the Israeli blockade of the tiny strip of land.

The only dehumanizing hate speech on this thread was taken out of Israeli newspapers and was penned by radical Israeli authors.
