From NOA1 to NOA2, it usually takes 5-6 months, sometimes more, sometimes less... but if ur fiance just filed on Aug 21, it will be a while before NOA2.

Unless you are expediting, then it takes less.

Emily,

To be honest, I'm not sure... I just assumed you could. Maybe someone else can answer that?

Your fiance can visit you without worrying. You can check your case status on the USCIS website. And if you sent the Form G-1145, Notification of Acceptance of Application/Petition, they will send the NOA2 to your email and then you get a hard copy in the mail too.

Is he planning to visit you in the Philippines? And wants to bring the noa1? I dont know what you meant...but if he wants to visit you he don't need to wait for noa2 because it might take long because mine took 5 months after we file I129 .....noa2 is the hard copy showing that your i129 is approve and they will send your fiancé a copy and send also to NVC...

Yes he can fly back to the Phils before the NOA2 is approved. Only issue there is if he is sent an RFE he will need to have access to that letter from USCIS along with the needed documents to respond. It's tough waiting, I know, but if an RFE shows up it would be easier to address from the USA.

I flew back over after the NOA2 and I already had the MNL # from NVC

Yes, as a USC, he can visit you if he wishes during the K-1 process. As others have pointed out, if he receives an RFE while he is visiting, it will add additional delay to the processing as the details of the RFE will only be delivered via mail. As for processing times, we received our NOA2 (K-1 visa approval) in 51 days, including 17 days wasted with an RFE. The entire process took us 87 days from NOA1 to visa in hand. Timelines vary so it is difficult to actually predict your timeline.
