I had my interview in July, 2014. Our case was placed in the administrative process and still is in the process. Unfortunately since then our joint sponsor, my wife's father, has passed away. My wife is a student. Will this cause a problem? Should we tell the embassy? What should we do?

I am sorry to hear about your lost to you and your wife.

If you needed a co-sponsor and still need one, then yes it will cause problems if you don't have a co-sponsor. You will need to notify the embassy and search for a new co-sponsor.

I wish you and your wife the best!!!
