You're a complete slacker, si ma'am -- what about serving him beer and mixed drinks upon demand?

No, seriously: What are YOU getting out of this, huh ma'am?

Actually not to be too 1950s housewife but I do provide a cocktail (G&T or Martini or Whiskey soda, or beer) with snacks on his return home each evening before dinner - lol - actually typing that out makes me feel like we are in an episode of Mad Men.

What have I got out if it? Fabulous exciting and glamorous courtship, and then my amazing daughter. Fantastic father to our 3 girls (our 4-year-old plus 2 teen step-daughters), pretty good s*x life, amazing massages, lots of fun and laughter.

But I am a believer in fairness and balance and equality and I am very upset that I feel like I am working so hard for 'family happiness' and it doesn't seem to be enough.

Your course is clear via your own words, see ma'am.

Note gentle, judicious application of Polish Math in quote and answers, see ma'am.

I may have decided to leave and start again *many* years ago if it wasn't for our daughters. I can't put my stepdaughters through another divorce and I can't bear the thought of my little one having to deal with two different homes/countries. (if he'd even let us go back to the UK)

Going to apply the British stiff upper lip and make the best of it all - which isn't that terrible. But it's nice to unload/rant and not take on all this pressure or blame about being the perfect wife when you're completely isolated and apart from your usual support systems.

Major sigh, ma'am.

Rant, si man: After reading Lynne's stories, went outside to fume on her behalf, grrr man. Walked directly into recent aftermath from mosquito-spraying truck, poison man. Mosquitoes and both eyes on death's door, ouch man.

Suggest fuming inside in future?

Appreciate the gesture though :)

Well, there is a reason that those women were on all sorts of pills.

My husband, god bless his soul, has yet again broken a promise to put dishes in the dishwasher. *sigh* He knows that I have very little energy and therefore a limited number of things I can do when I get that energy. In a similar fashion, I repeatedly asked him to put away his clothes because bending hurts me and do the clothes get put away? Nope.

As is known, I dish and de-dish the warsher because I do it right, see here man.

Re men's clothes: Are these truly dirty clothes? Or, are they worn but wearable again (a key determination in the male mind), meaning that one picks them up from the floor, sniffs them, and gauges whether re-wearing is feasible? Or, are they newly laundered? There's a definite protocol regarding Clothes and the Male Mind, distinction ma'am.

Of course, if I were pregnant with a bum leg, I'd feel similarly to you, agree ma'am.

No, these were fresh clean clothes that just needed to be put away.

Yeah, it has been rough, much rougher than I thought it would be. Even something as simple as going grocery shopping is a grueling and exhausting experience. That, and the pain in my back and my joints. (maybe it is a good think to get used to not taking anti-inflammatories) Ouch man. I don't know what kind of super viking I'm growing, but I feel like I've been run over by a freight train. At least the super acne has died down some.

Times I wish I had a sister wife.

Edit: He doesn't re-wear clothes no matter the smell factor. I do though! No reason to wash something that is basically clean.

My sister is pregnant too (2nd month) and she's constantly exhaused.

It wasn't like that with the previous pregnancies.

It doesn't help that her boys (two little and one big ;) ) basically ignore what she says, which pisses her off :P
