What is this mock apples to keep spiders away???

Excuse me please, its hedge apples that are supposed to keep spiders away. Every fall I see them for sale, but those suckers stink.

Honda doesn't do my off road stuff. Anyhow it's just the mileage. We need better gas mileage car to take some of the wear and tear off the jeep. It has 91k miles now.
